Hey! I just saw your reblog about not wanting people to add text on gifsets. I’m not a giffer, but I do make art and don’t mind when people reblog adding text to my art. I was wondering, does this post refer to all text or just rude comments?

I’m not sure if it’s about keeping the gif’s aesthetic or if it’s just telling people not to add rude stuff to the gifs. I’m asking because I wouldn’t want to upset you or any gif makers by doing something they dislike, so by knowing what it means I can prevent it and hopefully help spread the word :)

Hey, for me it’s just when people add rude stuff to my sets and try and add unsolicited opinions which have nothing to do with the set itself. I don’t mind people adding something when they reblog, in fact I love nice comments and funny stuff too and positive comments about the show/ship/character 😊

I’ve had people add idiotic things, which actually take away the value of the set or, I’ve actually had someone tell me to kill myself on a set, so just things like that. I also hate shipping wars opinions added, saying they hate the ship or try and list all the bad things about the ship when you’ve spent hours working on something for a ship you love. I just don’t want to see that negativity.

Then, you get the comments where, and I’ve actually had someone say this, “this is too over the top” like thanks, I only spent my entire day working on it. It’s just rude to add something like that to someone’s creation. If you want to message and give constructive feedback that’s fine but to be rude about it just rubs me the wrong way and I feel shitty about what I’ve just made.

Thats so sweet of you to be concerned though ❤️❤️ I try and just ignore any negativity and, for the most part, I always have lovely things added which really make me smile and I would never want to stop seeing that. So please continue to do that 🙂
