Thinking about little!steve and cg!nancy where Steve accidentally regresses in front of Nancy
Like can you imagine Nancy’s already robins caregiver and has suspicions about steve but Steve has no idea that she would know anything about age regression
Then he slips when Nancy comes over and starts to be all shy and quiet about her maybe being angry, Nancy of course can’t have that so she pulls out all the tricks, coaxing Steve to watch some tv on the couch with her and soon enough he’s off on a ramble about the movie they’re watching while playing Nancy’s hair (i HC that no matter what headspace, Steve loves doing people hair)

like he regresses in front of her accidentally because of just, like, the smallest frustrating thing after a big day of frustration. like, he had a bad day at work and he tried to help dustin with a project but it was over his head and that was kinda embarrassing and his dad was bein a meanie and yeah...he maybe drops a cup and it breaks, and so does he
and nancy's been suspecting that he regresses because he acts similar to robin sometimes, so when she sees him drop the glass she jumps into action and cleans it up and gets him a drink in a plastic cup and steve takes it the wrong way, thinking she's mad at him and he's just dumb and can't do anything right. but she just takes him to the living room to lay down and watch a movie, and he slowly starts to calm down while she's rubbing his back and petting his hair and kinda rocking him a bit in her lap.
he relaxes and just lets himself be little. he rambles on and on about the movie and puts little braids in nancy's hair, and he snuggles against her because he craves affection more than anything. and when he's big again he's a little embarrassed, but nancy's just like "it's totally okay, i liked helping you, i'm glad you trusted me enough to be that vulnerable because you clearly needed it" and steve's glad to have someone Safe 🥺
...and then robin just sees him at work the next day and greets him like "i know what you are" meme
