AggieCon is Proud to Welcome Mel Hynes and J. Grant!

Mel Hynes and J. Grant are the team behind several online art projects, known best for the world-famous webcomic, Two Lumps. With Hynes writing and Grant doodling, somehow they have become a staple in cat comics for hundreds of thousands of fans. Notoriously quick to commit acts of senseless punnery, they return to Aggiecon for yet a fifth time, hoping to add to their collection of scalps taken from members of Cepheid Variable. The federal government may have offered a cash reward for tips on their whereabouts. Two Lumps enters its 13th year in 2016, and shows no signs of stopping as the terrible duo continues to appear at various conventions nationwide

JOEMEGATHON! Wait, what’s that?

Well, I’m glad you asked! 

Joe is one of our lovely Cepheids, and he was kind enough to bring you Joemegathon! 

Joemegathon is the creation of Joe pitting all comers against each other in a video game tournament. This tournament will be held at Aggiecon 47 in College Station, TX. Sixteen participants (called Joemeganauts) will fight in four rounds of games to show who is the best of the best. The winner will receive a cash prize and a trophy to show the world who is better that weekend.

AggieCon Hotel Update!

MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTIONS PLEASE! We at AggieCon currently have a block on hotel rooms that we are saving for our lovely con-goers! However, time to sign up for these rooms is going fast! The block will expire on the 11th of March, so if you haven’t gotten a room by then, you will be on your own for finding a place to stay while you are here for the Con! AggieCon is Proud to Welcome John Mørke!

John Mørke is a writer and game developer, and is the current developer of White Wolf's Exalted: Third Edition. Well-known for his work on Exalted: Second Edition and the Ink Monkeys blog, John has worked on the Exalted property since 2009. He has also written for the classic World of Darkness, contributing words to Book of the Wyrm: 20th Anniversary Edition, and Changing Breeds: 20th Anniversary Edition. He will also be contributing system mechanics to Onyx Path Publishing's Trinity Continuum: Æon.

AggieCon is Proud to Welcome Independent Film Director Mark Beal!

By day, Mark Beal is an Emmy-nominated video producer in the communications office for the City of College Station, TX. By night, he is involved in the world of underground film. His previous film "Life Study," screened at the Red Wasp and Naperville Film Festivals. He is currently in post production on a prequel to "Bloodsucker's Handbook,“ which moves the story to an outer space setting.

Beal graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with degrees in English and Journalism and again in 1998 with a master’s degree in educational technology. Before settling into his current role as a video producer and editor, he worked as a graphic artist at a T-shirt company, a typesetter for the Yellow Pages, newspaper reporter, and an English teacher in Korea.

Director’s Statement: "Bloodsucker's Handbook" is not so much a vampire horror as a surrealist film with a vampire character. My intention is for the surrealism to sneak in gradually -- the story begins in a straight-forward fashion but eventually there is a point where the viewer has the realization: "Whoa, this is really strange!" The tagline, "Embrace the weird," was drawn from the response of one viewer after seeing an early cut of the film.

Aaron Dismuke is an American voice actor, script adapter and director with Funimation Entertainment. He got his start voice acting at age 9, as Hiro Sohma in Fruits Basket. At age 12 he voiced the role of Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. His other major roles include Leonardo Watch in Blood Blockade Battlefront, Yo Takami in Deadman Wonderland, Twelve in Terror in Residence, Arslan in The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Ouri Kagami in Corpse Princess, and Lucifer in Devil is a Part Timer. He worked as assistant director for Ninja Slayer and Fairy Tail, and directed Shomin Sample. He is also part of the ADR writing teams for Fairy Tail, Ninja Slayer and Tokyo Ghoul.
