How would you say, “Don’t believe me? Just watch! C’mon!” — thedankabyss
For Ie, the language I'm currently working on, I can only manage the simplest of sentences. And I'm in the middle of redoing the pronouns, so really, I can't even do that. But, I'll give it a go for Nyjichun!
Nyjichun is agglutinative, polysynthetic, and heavy on noun incorporation and compounding. Let's see if I can remember how to do this...
Nyjichun: Zɯ. Muizzow fofɒzchisuɯranchiŋochɯŋytnufjafɒ. Muvɯβiɯn tytɒztyvmowβyytokazivi. Mottofiizoylkozivi. Free translation: What?! You scum don't believe me? Watch THIS! Follow! Detail: Zɯ. M-uizz-ow fo-fɒz-chi-suɯran-chiŋochɯŋyt-nuf-jafɒ. Muvɯ-βi-ɯn ty-tɒz-tyv-mow-βyytoka-zivi. Mottofiizoylko-zivi. What. 2nd.NOM-(pejorative) believe-2nd.SBJ-1st.DOBJ-me-NEG-SBJV! (Intensifier)-this-ACC look-1st.SBJ.3rd.DOBJ-you-IMP. Follow-IMP.
Well, that added several words to the lexicon. I suspect this would be much easier if I spoke more than one language.
