“I’m fine.” That’s right. She was refusing the coat -- refusing to cover up. Her nudity was a statement. The messages painted upon her body representative of the slander women went through when they embraced their sexuality and stopped conforming to the sexist standards put upon them by society.

“And I thought I asked them to call dad.” In fact, she knew she asked them to call her father. The number she gave them had been Anakin’s mobile. Which means that someone on the force was a rat. And quite possibly in her mother’s pocket...metaphorically speaking. As she doubted her mother would ever actually pay someone off. But it was possible they owed her a favor. 

Lucky her...

“Is it true what they say?” The girl asked, she had tracked down this woman as soon as she had heard the rumors. “About who you are?”

“Sorry.” She hadn’t meant to yell. Not really. It was just...her hunger had come out of nowhere. One moment she was fine, going about her business and trying to figure out what Poe and everyone else she knew was up to and the next she was like...eating someone’s arm level of starving. Waffles, it just so happened, had been the first thing to pop into her mind. 

Cause who didn’t love waffles? With their little taste pockets. And she wondered if her grandmother had any whipped cream. Cause waffles needed whipped cream.

However, before she could ask, her grandmother voiced a question of her own. One that turned Breha pale. “What? Yeah. I’m fine. Why?”

She was pregnant, but so far nobody knew that, Nobody aside from Poe and Benny. And Poe’s brother, Finn.
