the store i work at is currently hiring for an assistant store manager (full time position, pays a bit better than what i'm currently at) & i'm really hoping i can get the job but i don't know if it's in the cards. the job description has 2+ years of retail management as a requirement & i only have 1 year this august. but like cmon i've been working here for going on 6 years now, i know the store really well, my coworkers respect me. like give me the position! not exaggerating when i say that i am literally more competent than one of our previous ASMs was & it's not just me who thinks that.
