Hikaru Addressing Recent Developments

Dear all 📝

Hereby, I would like to inform you of the termination of my “agent contract” with Okuruto Noboru Co., Ltd. After I had left my previous agency “Hifumi”, they reached out to me and I signed a contract. However, we disagreed on the concept of the exclusive nature of the “agent contract” so we have been negotiating details ever since November.

During that time, we also discussed the management of the fan club. Unfortunately, I do not have the authority to operate or renew the fan club by myself so I apologise for causing trouble and concern to all fan club members during this consultation period. I am very sorry. Since it is not possible to transfer the management to an individual, I have asked for the service to be terminated as soon as possible, I very much regret that it took so long.

I believe my future path will be quite rocky. However, "singing and expressing myself" means everything to me, it’s my reason for living. I will do my best to continue "talking" with everyone so I hope you will continue to support me.

Note: I wasn’t sure if I should make a post about this statement or not because I am not particularly happy about it. I feel like they were needlessly prolonging the process. I have a hard time believing that any of this hasn’t been 100% determined since November. But oh well, I am glad Hikaru is finally addressing the issue so all this stuff can be put behind us for good.

Hikaru Kamakura VLOG

Update: The vlog was actually a lot of fun. I enjoy this type of video a lot. Makes me want to explore the place as well (although there really wasn’t much to see). Maybe I’ll have to add another short trip to my itinerary XD Judging from the voice, her “friend” is most definitely her manager (or I guess her “agent” now). I wonder how often Hikaru will upload those vlogs...? She has been out and about with her manager in the past few weeks so they probably have a lot of content to share. Really looking forward to the Toyama videos.

Christmas Live CANCELLED

In her newest fan club video, Hikaru had announced that she would be holding an event in December around Christmas time. Further details had yet to be revealed. Unfortunately, the cancellation of said event was announced earlier today on Hikaru’s Fan Club site. Along with that, it was also decided to cancel the planned goods sale.

My God, what a total train wreck...what is going on with Hikaru and her manager/agent?? This is quickly becoming ridiculous. They can’t continue to randomly announce events only to cancel them a couple of days later.

Hikaru Fan Club Service “agiato” DISCONTINUED (AGAIN)

There have been a few confusing/contradicting announcements in the past few months regarding Hikaru’s official fan club “agiato” but now they seem to have reached a point where they can finally commit the announcement.

As of today, Hikaru's Official Fan Club "agiato" no longer accepts new registrations and will suspend its services completely on March 31, 2023. Due to the termination of the service, refunds will be provided for the applicable period. In addition, a digital present will be provided to those who have registered as members by November 30, 2022 during the relaunch campaign. The present will consist of a set of 6 digital wallpapers using the top banner of "agiato". ■Refund amount <Annual membership> A refund for the remaining months (incl. Dec, Jan, Feb) will be provided as shown in the table below according to the month of enrollment.

<Monthly membership> A refund of December 2022, January 2023 and February 2023 (= ¥1,650) will be provided. ■ Refund procedure Those who are eligible will receive an email about the membership fee refund procedure by March 3, 2023. Pease fill in the necessary information in that email and reply within the specified deadline.

Renewal of Hikaru’s Official Fan Club

New Name “agiato”

Yesterday I wasn’t quite sure what they meant with the term “renewal” and how it would affect the fan club and its current content. I was fairly certain that the content would remain the same since the announcement sounded more like a transition and not so much like a complete new start. Turns out that I was more or less right, Hikaru’s fan club hasn’t changed as far as its content is concerned, it just went through a nice little makeover. The site design and name have been changed completely. “Masani Hikaru” is now “agiato”. Hikaru explains in her little update video (fan club exclusive) that she has chosen the Italian term “agiato” for two reasons. The word on its own means relaxed/comfortable, this reflects the manner in which she would like to interact with her fans in this exclusive space. The term is also used in music theory to describe when something is being played quickly with agitation and excitement. This refers to the many rather sudden changes that have occurred and which will continue to occur in the near future. While things are bound to change, Hikaru reassures her fans that her fundamentals will remain the same.

New Layout

In accordance to the new fan club name, the layout of the website has been updated as well and I personally think it looks much better now. The previous design was very much in your face/over the top and while it looked cute, I don’t really think it did a good job of representing Hikaru’s personality or image as an artist. The new layout is the epitome of understated elegance with a bit of fun and colour thrown into the mix. The heavier focus on music makes it clear where Hikaru’s priorities lie.

Monthly Membership Plan

In addition to the currently existing annual membership plan there will be a new monthly membership plan due to many fan requests. Right now they are really pushing the fan club and want new people to join so if you have hesitated in the past, please use this opportunity to become a member! It doesn’t make a difference whether you join on an annual or monthly plan, you will have access to the exact same content. A special present will be sent to all members with an existing annual plan as well as to everyone who joins the renewed fan club on a monthly plan from November 1-30. [I wonder what will happen if you didn’t enter a Japanese address upon registration…? I am pretty sure they won’t be sending presents overseas. Thankfully I did enter my Tenso address!]

※Due to the system, annual members can also register as monthly members. Please note that you will be registered twice (with your annual membership still ongoing until next year). ※If you change from an annual membership to a monthly membership, your current membership number and previous records cannot be carried over. If you are interested in a monthly plan, please switch plans at the renewal timing next year.

I am a little confused though because on “My Page” it says my next payment is due on November 10. If I am understanding the instructions correctly, my membership should last until June next year. I am not planning to change to a monthly plan so I’ve no idea what this is supposed to mean...

Christmas Live

In her newest fan club video, Hikaru also announced that she will be holding an event in December! I am not quite sure if this will be a fan club exclusive event (since she announced it only on her fan club site?) or if anyone will be able to attend...No details have been revealed yet as far as the exact date is concerned but the live will apparently take place around Christmas time. Further details will be posted on her fan club site very soon. The live will also have a live stream option so that’s great news. [OMG, PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN ON DECEMBER 24!!!! Everyone manifest this with me!! It definitely shouldn’t happen on Dec 25 because that’s when Wakana is holding her Christmas live. And on the 26th I am already flying back to Vienna so that would be awful timing as well]

Hikaru Fan Club Service “agiato” DISCONTINUED

Yet another sad announcement regarding Hikaru. Her newly relbranded fan club "agiato (former name: Masani Hikaru)", will stop accepting new member registrations starting from November 30, 2022. On December 31, the service will be terminated indefinitely. This is happening due to the cancellation of the agent contract between Hikaru and Okuruto Noboru (who were in charge of running the fan club after Hikaru had become a freelance artist).

Due to the termination of the service, a refund will be provided for the applicable period for members whose membership doesn’t end until after January 2023. ■ Eligible for a refund: Those who have a membership period that ends after January 2023 (members with an annual plan) ※There is no refund for members who are subscribed to a monthly plan. ■ Refund amount: The annual membership fee of 5,500 yen will be divided into monthly installments and the amount for the remaining unexpired months will be refunded. For example, if you joined in June when the fan club was first launched, you will get a refund of ¥2,292. If you joined in November, you will get a refund of ¥4,583. ■ Refund procedure: An email will be sent regarding the refund of the membership fee to those eligible. You need to fill in a form and reply to that email with your membership number, name and account information in order to get a refund. Oh no, what a mess. I thought it was going uphill for Hikaru but apparently I was wrong. Her agent contract certainly didn’t last very long. I wonder what that will mean for her and her future activities? Hopefully her appearance at the Ambient Border Dawn event won’t be cancelled because I already got ticket for that. Maybe she is now completely freelance without any restrictions so it could be a good thing? But what was even the point of rebranding the fan club and inviting more people to join? Maybe they were hoping for a lot more people to join but that didn’t happen so the fan club was no longer profitable? Anyway, Hikaru and whoever is advising her need to stop making elaborate announcements if they are incapable of committing to anything long-term. Do they not have any sort of foresight? I realise her current situation is incredibly volatile and there are probably a lot of curveballs being thrown at her but for that exact reason they should take extra measures to ensure a plan is sustainable before putting any info out there. Ughhh, sorry for ranting, this is just so frustrating.

Hikaru Radio Live Broadcast CANCELLED

The fan club exclusive radio live broadcast which was scheduled to take place on November 7 got cancelled today. One has to wonder what’s going on with Hikaru and her "agent”. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt since they are probably dealing with a lot of stuff right now but why would they even schedule an event during this transition phase (even if it was just a casual fan club event)? I want to have faith in these new developments but someone really needs to step up their game. Why schedule an event that can’t be held? Why upload videos to YouTube only to delete them again? Why send emails with wrong information? All of this comes across as quite unprofessional. I am already seeing fans getting very bitchy about it and that’s really not what Hikaru needs right now...*sighs*
