So I am generally extremely positive about aging, especially my own. Despite that, I did have a brief bout of less-than-elation about my upcoming 39th birthday, not in a "ugh oh no I'm old" way, but more of a "I wanna have infinite years to do fun stuff" kind of way.
However, I realised, "I get to be 40 for ten years!!!!! That's so long!!!"
And it is! And I also remembered how all the actors I had crushes on in my teens and early 20's were all in their 40's.
So! Bring on 40! I'm ready and excited!

Actually you know what? Balding is as natural and healthy as graying hair and wrinkles.
Balding is beautiful and a sign of survival into maturity. We need to stop shaming people for it
Why are people so afraid of aging???
Those dumb anti-wrinkle straws (which would be awesome for disability aid, but no, people on tiktok are like “ewww no wrinkles”), obsessive skincare, Botox… why would you do that to yourself?
Maybe it’s because I’m queer, but visibly aging is the best thing that could happen to me. It means I lived. I lived, I was here. I experienced life and made it long enough to get gray hair.
I laughed and smiled and frowned enough for the emotions to map themselves across my face
I got to age out of spry youthfulness and settle down. I got to age into that quiet beauty and wisdom of the elderly
I look forward to when I get wrinkles and my hair turns gray. That means I was one of the lucky ones. I didn’t get taken before my time.
So many people die young. They never even get the chance to grow old, so don’t waste your youth obsessing over not aging. You are beautiful, life is beautiful.
So enjoy it.
i have crows feet at age 27. i don't mind. it means i've seen a lot of sunshine and had a lot to smile about.
Stop being so shocked by a beautiful woman over 40! Realize that being over 40 isn’t old. And age doesn’t define your Beauty and Worthiness.
Thank you for this @janesays80 ! You know me well!!!
