we need more fat fitness instructors and I'm dead fucking serious
to be seen on social media, fitness instructors basically always have to have contemporarily attractive body types. whereas fitness instructors you meet in real life have a huge variety of body types.
being a well-qualified fitness instructor requires education and experience and yes, usually a significant level of fitness, be that strength, flexibility, stamina, so on.
Many people have all of those qualifications, while also being fat.
Perhaps the biggest lie advertising has sold you is that being "fit" means being thin. That is spectacularly untrue. The world is filled with fat athletes, amateur, professional, in all variety of sports, performing remarkable feats any of us would be damn proud to accomplish. That's a hell of a lot of experience and talent, including many educators you or I would be lucky to learn from.
My friend Cortney is a fitness instructor! This is a five year before-and-after showing how much dance artistry she's learned in that time. I have danced with this woman, and she is SO fit and strong.

This is so wholesome
Has anyone drawn this as a merman yet?
Tried my best
This makes me so happy. Someone showing off the beauty of swamps. Swamps are a treasure, really!
I regret that censoring the gif was necessary, but you know how it is these days.
Trying new things with shading, colour palette, and also seeing if I can do motion blur.
I accidentally saved over the sketch+lineart layers but this is about 50% of the flat shading.
Always gotta love Hilda and her pumpkins.

Trying to learn how to paint things in motion, fabric, backgrounds in perspective, and sharp light.
Saw this this morning while I was feeling very low and tired, and I thought it would help any other Black women feeling the same.
Black women, we gotta take care of ourselves, and it's OKAY to do so. Not even just in the coming months, but all the time. We are worth love, respect, and dignity, no matter how much this world wants to force us to believe less. 🙏🏾💖
Yes, I would appreciate it if you shared this for the Black women in your circles to see 🙏🏾
