Sofia’s in town? Just for the holidays.
Dash & Lily (1:6 Christmas Eve)
We're picking up steam here, and their plot lines are getting closer! As the season goes on, it shows more of a mix of their points of view, and I think that makes it much more exciting.
So, Lily (Midori Francis) is getting ready for a date with Edgar (Glenn McCuen) at a party. Langston (Troy Iwata) is trying to apologize for snapping at her, but then he starts more drama for Lily than she had before by saying that "old friend" is code for ex. Admittedly, he's right, but Lily doesn't need that extra anxiety right now. Before the party, she goes to give the notebook to Boomer (Dante Brown), and she asks about the ex. Boomer assures her that they are done for good.
What Boomer doesn't know is that Dash (Austin Abrams) is actually hanging out with Sofia (Keana Marie). Sofia takes Dash shopping so that they can go together "as friends" to Priya's (Agneeta Thacker) Christmas Eve party with a bunch of their friends from school. Boomer only shows up to the party to give Dash the notebook and then leaves before most of the guests arrive.
This episode is frustrating, but in a different way than the previous one. We as the audience are more informed than the characters. The ending is a mother of a cliffhanger, too. So overall, I'll give this episode a solid 4 stars.
