S4 is so weird; it's like a modern-day agony column

We're all in agony, clearly. I mean, Mofftiss love it, but it's like they're sniggering about some secret joke they haven't revealed to us, so we're all just like, 'wtf?' They're speaking in code, just like in an agony column, and they're the only ones who know what it means. So it makes them love the series and us hate it.

what do they want to be famous for?

Lily wants to be famous for her art (hopefully by having cartoons in the paper), and Amy just wants her name to be recognized!

While Lily is happy with just having 15 minutes of fame, Amy wants her name to go down in history.

What do they want to be famous for? And what will they gain from being in the newspaper?

well! Lily wants to be famous for her art! She had a failed art career, which had her family viewing her as a failure. She hopes to prove them wrong, and become someone well-known for her art.

Amy on the other hand, is a bit more ambiguous about her goals. She tells Lily that she wants to be famous, because she simply loves being in the spotlight. She just wants everybody to know her name.

so Lily wants validation, and Amy wants recognition!

what's your new story about?? it sounds interesting! Maybe describe the characters for us?

ok ok!!so i plan for it to be kids a short story, so there’s only two main characters. it takes place in a big city, and i’m thinking probably New York.The more major character is named Lily. She’s 22 years old, and after a failed art career she ended up in New York working as a cashier. She cut herself off from her parents, who viewed her as a failure. She lives in an apartment with her roommate, Florian.Every Saturday morning, she goes to a café near her apartment, and has coffee and reads the newspaper. Her frequent visits caused her to become friends with a barista named Amy.As the story proceeds, she decides to rekindle her passion for art, and strives to create a cartoon that would be featured in the paper.

And the other main character is Amanda, who mostly just goes by Amy. She is also 22 years old, and works as a barista in a small cafe. She becomes fairly close with Lily, who is a regular there. After hearing of Lily’s dreams of being featured in the paper, Amy admits that she also hopes to be famous someday as well. However, between university classes and her jobs, she simply doesn’t have the time to do anything that would make her famous.

so those are the characters! it sounds like it’s gonna be happy but like……it’s not oops
