Ink and watercolour painting inspired by the marvellous A Fair-Weather-Night by @agrlsname This story was certainly worth waiting for.
This is also for this month’s @sherlockchallenge : Language, because in this fic (and its predecessor, the equally beautiful The Sky is Full of Fiddles), the boys have a love language of their own.
is a 1000-word ficlet in the 2020 Advent Collection Johnlock Style, series organized by @tindomerelhloni-official. The prompt was “sleigh ride” and the result is a work of genius.
The sooner you read it, the sooner your heart will sing (and sob just a bit but oh so happily).
Old love is one of my favorite dimensions of writing and reading, and @agrlsname braided it in so beautifully with the three couples in this compact yet lush story--two old couples, and John projecting forward into a future when he and Sherlock will still love each other, and the only question is with what life behind them.
And it was a stealth heartbreaker, starting with such an action scene! I was still laughing at a car chase (sorta) conducted on a sleigh in the snowy woods, when the gears shifted into corporeal (Sherlock’s beating heart) and magical (a rescue sleigh’s jingling bells). Bonus points for the amazing 2nd-person voice.
I'm just going to clutch this fic to my heart all day long.
All four watercolours inspired by the magnificent The Sky is Full of Fiddles by @agrlsname Their titles are “Night-wooing”, “Halling”, “Skinny-dipping” and “Kissing”.
Progress shot of the four illustrations for The Sky is Full of Fiddles by @agrlsname Paintings three and four are finished, one and two need some work still. I’d like to finish some other artworks over the weekend, one of them for the Glorious 25th of May, and will resume working on these illustrations next week.
