#7 Agru

The one time in this whole competition that I’m actually feeling a picture of hers, she goes home/quits. I’m not saying I disagree with that based on potential and past performance, but I think this picture is quite stunning. She’s probably pulled off one of the best poses this week. I really, really love the leg positioning and how tall she looks. I love the upper body even more for that matter; the hand on her face is really interesting and I like the angle in which her shoulder is up. She definitely does a great job selling the outfit! Now, again (per usual), my problem is with the face for Agru. I can just see the insecurity and doubt in her eyes, and together with the open mouth (while it does add charm and personality), that reads as confused. Still, I’m actually really impressed by this shot of Agru.

All I can say is that I just don’t think this girl is a model. While last week her face was the problem, this week it’s the pose (and the face for that part actually). I can totally see the concept and what she was trying to do, but the tough pose just isn’t working. While there’s at least some angle to the arm, the muscle definition just makes it look very cramped and stiff, and I think maybe a hand on the hip would’ve helped that. Then another thing I don’t like is how stiff the full body looks, especially in contrast to Beligma doing all sorts of things next to her. My last problem (lol), is the face - or how old she looks. You can clearly see her smile lines and a sort of frown, and it just ages her (especially when the lighting is not that good in the first place and those shadows are all you can see).

#14 Agru

Honestly, I might dislike this photo more than the previous one, but at least his one leaves an impression on me. I think I’m just not a fan of Augru’s look, I just don’t see it personally. I don’t like the snarl going on in the mouth area and I see a lot of doubt in the eyes. I also don’t really get why she has this one finger pointed, but I guess it does look kind of graceful. What I do like here is her faceshape; her cheekbones and jaw are really interesting, and the angle she chose. I think I would’ve eliminated Augru this week though, and I definitely think her bottom 2 placement was justified.
