Dropping in on his oldest friend in one of the temple's many meditation chambers, he paused momentarily, almost jealous of Obi-Wan's seeming constant calm demeanor. He brushed this aside, however, the unwanted emotion buried for another day, left with all the other thoughts and feelings he hid away, No, his chief concern was for his former master's sake. It was barely a week since the Duchess Kryze had died at Maul's hands. Anakin could not comprehend how mad he would be driven if something were ever to happen that might take Padme away, and he had been all too aware of the feelings Obi-Wan had held for Satine.

“Obi-Wan...” he cleared his throat, glancing about the place. “Master...  If you ever need to talk... Perhaps I might understand more than you think.” He paused there in the silence, contemplating simply leaving Obi-Wan once more to his thoughts.
