Hi there! Answering some of your questions about my recs. First, I know the feeling, I got my ps4 in 2017 so I had to catch up on a lot of games lol. The Last of Us is not exactly scary, but it's violent and it's got some heavy emotional scenes. Still, I highly recommend it. I waited four years to play it, dodging spoilers left and right, and I had a great experience with it. It's visually stunning, the production is amazing, not to mention the story and the characters. (1)

(2) Of the ones I mentioned before, Until Dawn is a horror, it's got some jumpscares and things lurking in the shadows, so it might not be your cup of tea lol. But it has some comedy elements in it and some plot twists. Heavy Rain and Detroit are basically dramas, so no monsters. You can play Detroit’s demo first to get the feel of the game and see if it interests you. The graphics are just incredible.(3) I also mentioned Prey (2017). It’s in space, and while it has some horror elements, the focus is on the story, not only of the main character, but the side ones too. It’s interesting because you can take any approach you want to move forward in the game and discover secrets that hint you what the story is really about. I’ve played it 3 times already lol. You can watch the trailer and also play the demo to see if it interests you. That's it, sorry for the ask spam haha! :)
