Beautiful, yes, this sand and sun part of the world! And, it was a promise my heart compelled me to keep…after so many tears and a fragile restoration from the pain and finality of impending death. Those who have lost the warm cloak of love will know of what I write.

To everyone struggling with who they are and trying hard to fit in: I remember when i was in high school i used to want like the most ridiculously expensive gear. Back then the hype was over chuck Taylor’s. I used to wanna be in some chucks. Bad. Wanting to “fit in” i guess. Everybody had the chucks... It wasn’t until after i finally was able to buy myself some and put my feet in them that i recognized that nothing really changed man. So i learned “it wasn’t the shoes the man had on, it was the man wearing the shoes.” I was so busy placing value on style and being “in” with every cool click instead of placing value on what really matters, and that’s the substance. Everything that’s substantial like a mans character, his integrity, his heart... living life like that (style over substance) can really lead to disappointment. That’s why i made this post right quick; to let you know, let anybody currently in this predicament know that: God chooses substance over style and he wants us to do the same. The world might look at what we got on on the outside but God is accessing and examining what’s on the inside, our hearts everyday. He wants us to have substance ourselves, see it in others and value it above outward appearances.
