My character concept for a fighting game! :0

Rei!

Backstory:

As a child, Rei got pummeled and beaten constantly by bullies, for standing for her own sense of justice. After pulling herself out of a weakness complex, she found the strength, determination and willpower inside her to rise up and train to become a person strong enough to protect the things and people she wants to protect. Now, she trains constantly, even travelling the world to pursue more opportunities to grow. Rei trains in her boxing, giving it 500% with every day, to escape her weaknesses and shadows in her heart. “To keep moving forward, and exceeding my limits.” With this as her motto, Rei strives to improve herself and be the best person she can be, and to live everyday to it’s fullest.

Abilities:

In the ring, Rei overwhelms her opponents with deceptively monstrous amounts of raw strength and speed. Keeping tension up, and sacrificing her health to thrust herself into her opponent’s strongest attacks in order to shatter their willpower, leading the road open to shatter their faces.

Rei excels in fighting against larger foes, her small size allowing her to dart around and conceal her incredible power. Through rigorous constant training, she has the strength to fell trees and engage in one-on-one duels with wild bears using only her fists.

In the fighting game, Rei uses ducking and weaving to close in on her opponents and evade attacks, and can predict when her opponent will strike to dodge and swiftly deliver a fierce counterpunch. She can chain special moves into special moves, building up a meter during her combos, and as the meter increases, her knockback and strength of her punches grow. Her specialty is a hard pressure-focused offense.

Appearance:

Rei is a young adult from Hong Kong, with a small but fit build, dark brown eyes and long black hair. She usually wears her favourite blue hoodie, with patches that she sewed on herself, a dark blue pleated skirt, her cheerleader thigh highs and grey running shoes, as well as her handwraps with her boxing gloves tied to her hem, so she’s always ready to spar.
