happy valentines day.

both single and taken witches and wizards a like have something to look forward to this magical february day! for one night only, there is plenty of room for everyone to play with cupid. 

ACID NIGHTCLUB is hosting a SINGLES NIGHT event. anyone who is single and ready to mingle is invited to dance in heaven, drink in purgatory, and maybe find love in hell. grab a heart-shaped name tag at the door and grab some hearts when you enter. hopefully, no one will be leaving alone. there will be games, musical entertainment, and lots and lots of dancing.

SAUVIS GARDEN is hosting a MOVIE UNDER THE STARS event. those who already managed to find that special someone are invited out to a picnic and screening of a romantic feature film. there will be blankets, wine, and the beautiful atmosphere of the gardens to transport you into a real fairytale love story. make the most of the night!

thanks for participating in our valentines day event! characters can be found at either location despite what social status they may actually have. there will be a DISCORD channel for the singles night event where people can meet and chat quickly to decide if they want to continue any good chemistry on the dash. this event will last until FEBRUARY 20th.

It wasn't often that Clifford opened his mind to the idea of romance, but there was a first for everything. And what better day than on Valentine’s Day? He’d  dressed up in his nicest red button-up, his deaf ear decked out in one of the golden cuffs he’d bought, and made his way to the venue about an hour after the party was set to start.

An hour, it turned out, was more than enough to get the mood going. The club was packed with people (no surprise there) and the beat that thumped through Cliff’s chest was almost... reassuring. No matter who the other people in the club were, they were all pulled together by the deep, resonating bass.

He made his way over to the self-serve punch table and poured himself a drink. No sooner had he put the ladle back down though, than the women next to him spat a sip of her drink back out into her glass. “That bad, huh?” He smiled amusedly at her, gesturing to his own cup. “Am I better off putting it down and walking away slowly?”

Simon wasn’t having a good time. When Gladys had promised them a fun night out they’d said yes because they always said yes to Gladys. Now, though, Si really wished they had just stayed home. From their spot against the far wall they could see Edgar placing more bets than he could possibly win, and they could see people limbering up for fights as if fighting was something that could ever end well.

“Do you think the bartenders could just come to me?” They asked without much hope.

“You know,” Edith said, curled up next to Nimue on the little medical bed. Mason had allowed her to stay because she’d promised not to interfere with any of the healing. Now she had her arms wrapped around Nim’s waist as she held her girlfriend as close as she could manage. “I’m beginning to think that you enjoy worrying me silly. Not that you aren’t an awesome fighter and I’m really proud of you, but I wouldn’t mind a few weeks when you like, don’t get injured? Could do wonders for my stress levels.”

Being unmarried had its perks. Namely: 1) it infuriated her parents, and 2) she had time for more important things, like climbing up the ladder to success and power.

It also had its fair share of pitfalls, however.

1) It got lonely, though she’d never admit that, 

and 2) her parents never shut up about it, which was beginning to drive her mental. 

Mingling at a singles event on Valentine’s Day felt about as pathetic as it could get, but she’d come anyway. She figured she’d at least get some drinks in her before she lured some poor unsuspecting bachelor into her bed. Unfortunately, she was three drinks in and still - none of the men that had approached her so far had met her standards. 

She’d just sent another one on his way with his tail between his legs - when her gaze narrowed in on a familiar face across the room. 

Their eyes met. And in that split second she made a decision. She began to approach the bar, her stride filled with purpose. 

Lonnie appeared to be just as surprised to see her as she was, him.

“Wasn’t expecting to see you here tonight,” she said, speaking before he could.

“Oh, there’s plenty of room in my blanket nest if you’d like to join us!” Hamish said with a wide smile, feeding a small trio of owlets in a beanie tiny pieces of bacon. “It’s great desensitization for them, so don’t worry about disturbing them. And I have people snacks too I promise.”

Rose liked movie nights, as a general rule. Movies fascinated her and she did love all the snacks. Plus there was a different kind of magic to it all. “You can join me if you want. I promise that I won’t talk through any of the important parts.”

Connie truly loathed these types of events. She felt awkward and out of place, and had no idea how to approach any of the eligible single women and...god forbid, flirt. 

She’d been out of the game for so long, she wasn’t even sure what counted as flirting anymore. 

She felt a little underdressed, as well. Most of the women here were from a slightly higher class than Connie, and it showed. They all looked stunning under the lights of the nightclub, in their sparkling dresses with their fancy hair, dancing and laughing and smiling and -

And so that’s how she found herself seated at the bar, keeping to herself. She’d just downed the last dregs of her beer when she finally noticed the woman who’d taken a seat next to her. 

“Mm!” she let out a muffled noise of surprise, her eyes widening slightly. She covered her mouth and murmured a “Hi,” 

She got a good look at the woman for the first time. She was beautiful, far more beautiful than she had any right to be. Long dark hair, eyes Connie could get lost in, and overall what Connie was sure was the face of an angel. 

She swallowed her mouthful of beer and said nervously, “Is it, um, is it hot in here, suddenly?”
