 Confetti fell over the stage covering five girls in a layer of happiness. The leader raises her mic to thank each and everyone supporting them especially their fans, who screamed back in reply. Sunbaes, along with hoobaes, shoot congratulatory remarks left and right, filling the girls’ hearts with joy Within their souls lie an indescribable feeling every time they receive praises, it was truly one precious moment for the girls and their fans alike.

In one corner, stood Jongsuk, the Inkigayo MC, stealing glances at the youngest member of f(x). The two got closer through High Kick 3 where they played as siblings. He was itching to give Krystal a hug yet a strong force was pulling him away from her. A force caused by the spying eyes of the crowd. While the other members were giving their speeches, their eyes meet. “Congratulations” Jongsuk spoke inaudibly which Krystal understood, leading her to mouth the words “Thank you”.

Soon after the MCs gave their closing remarks, artists poured out on the stage, giving the floor to the winners. Before heading towards the backstage, Jongsuk pats Krystal’s head gently like a little kitten “Jung Soojung great job”. She showed a sheepish smile and responds “I know, stupid”. But Jongsuk’s overflowing emotions led him into escalating that minimal gesture into a warm hug, leaving the maknae flustered. The feelings were holding him down, tying him up bound in chains of destructive self desires.

Luna and Victoria stretched subtle smiles upon noticing the short moment. Krystal was the first to pull away and forcibly makes him stay on stage. “Oppa, I’m sure you know our song!” she raises the mic to Jongsuk’s lips. With the pressure given by the other members and the audience, he sings some of Krystal’s line. Shhh Dulmanui. Shh! The crowd erupted into fresh cheers, sending Jongsuk to cover his face out of shame.

Soojung and Jongsuk have a meal together after filming and Jongsuk finally confesses but a fan disturbs them! Ahahaha

The delectable scent of ramen engulfs itself into my nose. Jongsuk oppa tagged me along to a nearby store after filming a few scenes from our sitcom. He always saves my tummy from experiencing a gruesome death caused by hunger, maybe he’s some sort of a guardian angel sent by God to take care of me. “Soojung-ah do you even eat properly without me? Every time we have meals together, I feel like I’m accompanied by a monster who hasn’t eaten for a decade” he spoke with his mouth full of noodles. Talk about manners. After swallowing, I pointed my chopsticks at him and scowls “Excuse me, If I’m a monster then what are you? A rotting animal? Oh please, monsters are nowhere near my beauty”.

Our conversations are usually like this. Endless bickering, throwing slight punches at one another and other violent things. Our fellow cast members even labeled us as the “Happy Tree Siblings”. They got it from those morbid cartoons on the internet, who does nothing but violence. “If I tell you I like you, what will you do?” I almost spit out the food on my mouth. Obviously, he’s teasing me yet again but why is my heart beating erratically? “Hm. I’d pour water over your head until you change your feelings” I bravely replied, considering it as one of his lame jokes ever. A cloak of silence loomed upon us. There’s something eerily wrong about him today and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

A slight movement of his hand somehow breaks the tension, he slides his glass of water next to me and says “Go on, pour it on top of my head. Unfortunately, I’m afraid my feelings wont waver” I felt a strange tightening on my chest. Something in his eyes were telling me he’s saying nothing but the truth. I constructed my answer carefully on my head, and just as I was about to open my mouth, a bloodcurdling scream erupted from behind. “OH MY GOD LEE JONGSUK OPPA!!” the fangirl was trembling, currently hyperventilating from the sight of her ‘oppa’. “Can you sign this for me please? Oh my God you’re also here Krystal-sshi!!! You guys look great together!!! Are you two dating or what?” Her mouth was like a machine gun, overloaded with bullets in the form of words.

I flushed a pretty pink at her question, it was only making things more awkward for the both of us. After entertaining the over-hyped fan, the atmosphere changed immediately. We’re back to square one. I took the courage to speak first “Oppa, if you’re serious then I just want to say I’m uncertain about my feelings. And-“ his smirk cuts my little speech. Jongsuk pins his eyes on me, “It’s alright. I’ll make you fall for me as much as you wish”
