MY K-POP WIRE at live: AHOF Ignites Their First Spark in Malaysia with Explosive Energy and Heartfelt Promises
Rookie boy group AHOF made a memorable first impression in Malaysia with 2026 AHOF 1ST TOUR: THE FIRST SPARK IN KUALA LUMPUR, bringing youthful energy, polished performances, and heartfelt interactions to JioSpace, Petaling Jaya. As the group's first-ever concert in the country, the evening marked the beginning of a new chapter between AHOF and Malaysian FOHA, filled with excitement, laughter, and promises of future reunions.
The atmosphere came alive the moment the opening VCR ended and the members burst onto the stage with "Ignition" and "We Ready." Thunderous cheers filled the venue as AHOF greeted Malaysian fans for the very first time, expressing their excitement at finally bringing The First Spark tour to Kuala Lumpur. Before continuing the show, the members playfully introduced a few "concert rules," with one simple request: cheer as loudly as possible. By their second ment, they laughingly admitted the crowd had exceeded every expectation, revealing that the cheers were so loud they could barely hear their own in-ear monitors.
One of the concert's standout moments came through AHOF's special cover stages, which showcased the group's versatility and impressive teamwork. The members revealed that preparing IVE's "BANG BANG" was particularly challenging due to its fast-moving formations, yet they managed to learn the choreography in just one to two hours. Meanwhile, rehearsing BTS' "I NEED U" required remarkable attention to detail, with the group spending nearly 40 minutes perfecting the opening sequence alone before moving on to the rest of the performance. Their behind-the-scenes stories gave fans a deeper appreciation of the dedication behind each stage.
Beyond the performances, it was the members' sincerity that left a lasting impression. JL candidly shared that he had worried in the days leading up to the concert about whether the venue would be filled. Looking out at the sea of fans in front of him, however, those concerns quickly disappeared as Malaysian FOHA welcomed the group with enthusiastic chants and unwavering support.
Woongki also won over the crowd throughout the evening with his repeated use of the Malay phrase "Saya sayang awak" ("I love you"), earning loud cheers every time he said it. The members jokingly pointed out that while AHOF had been working hard dancing and singing on stage, the fans had been working just as hard by screaming nonstop, creating one of the concert's funniest moments and highlighting the lively chemistry between the group and the audience.
The excitement reached another high when AHOF surprised fans by announcing their upcoming comeback, scheduled for 8 July 2026, just four days after the Kuala Lumpur concert. The members teased their new title track, "Sugar Rush," encouraging fans to continue supporting them as they prepared to begin the next chapter of their journey together.
As the concert drew to a close with "Everything is Love," "Rendezvous," and "Our Story," emotions filled the venue. The members expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support they had received during their first visit to Malaysia, promising that they would return again. Beyond performing, they also shared their hopes of spending more time exploring Malaysia's local attractions and famous cuisine on their next visit.
Even after the final bow, AHOF lingered on stage, waving to every section of the venue as if reluctant to say goodbye. For a group embarking on its very first tour, The First Spark lived up to its name, marking not only AHOF's first concert in Malaysia but also the beginning of what promises to be a lasting bond with Malaysian FOHA. Judging by the energy shared throughout the show, this first meeting felt less like a farewell and more like the start of many more memories to come.
