I thought I would start a series of threads that breakdown Violet’s costumes, episode by episode for Murder house. Exacts are wonderful but are also awfully expensive, so I thought I’d also show how to replicate the styles on a budget using Shein. Enjoy.

House viewing/ Chatting with Tate outfit
In this scene Violet wears a floral maxi dress, a burgundy long sleeve top, long mustard cardigan and a pair of black brogues. I can’t quite figure out if she is wearing sheer black tights or if thats due to lighting/ colour grading.
Later on in the episode, we see the same outfit (minus the cardigan) but we can also see Violet accessories the outfit with some small gold hoops.

First day of school/ Attic Rubber Man outfit
This is Violet’s most distinctive outfits from the season, rocking a orange/redish lace dress with a grey sweater underneath and her iconic pork pie hat. This is again styled with black brogues and a khaki crossbody school bag.

I chose this jumper, as it’s tight fitting and will fit under the dress but also because it can be styled with other looks later on.

We don’t see much of what Violet is wearing in this scene, but from this screenshot she wears a distressed beige jumper and a black t-shirt underneath.

Catching Mr Harmon & Moira/ The school fight outfit
In these scenes, she wears a khaki long sleeve top, a black dress with white spots and red flower details. At school, she then adds a blue and black check plaid shirt and accessorises with her small gold hoops, her khaki cross body bag and of course her pork pie hat. We get a better look at the hat in this scene which is a dark olive with purple bow detail.

Luring Leah the bully outfit
Another iconic accessory of Violet’s wardrobe is her raccoon tail hat. Again it’s hard to make out the outfit in these scene, but she seems to pair with a burgundy suede jacket with leather details.
