Michael and Adam soulmate au

The idea that it wasn’t just Chuck and Amara but also souls as their own energy source 

Stemming from idea to kill Amara with souls, angels being able to gain power from souls and souls in ways being independent even though Chuck is pulling a lot of the strings.

Okay so in this Au it kind of follows the Plato myth but it’s Amara who separated the souls and Chuck created angels, leviathan and humans from halves of the souls. Except Amara doesn’t have the most steady hands so some of these cuts are unequal. Archangels created from larger parts of the soul and twisted into warriors, Leviathans created from parts of souls Amara corrupted in the whole process bc I imagine her touch is like frostbite.

(in depth why leviathans like to eat humans bc they’re craving that soul warmth or maybe they just have a cannibalism kink yknow whatever.)

Adam and Michael are soulmates. Adam’s cut is smaller bc Michael is an archangel, probably leading to Adam being a sassy little shit to Mike and everyone bc he has small soul syndrome but we love him. 

Anyway that’s why they were so well together even though Adam is a second rate vessel, because they are genuinely meant to be together.

Adam also was genuinely a flaw in God’s plan, he was not meant to be born but souls exhibiting their free will Adam’s soul kind of automatically followed his soulmate’s destiny

(also let me preface i LOVE supernatural and i absolutely adore seasons 1-5 this is just a gripe of mine!)

michael, THE viceroy of heaven, the ultimate leader of heavens divine armies. THE PRINCE of the heavenly host, who is like a trillion years old.

he gets to the battle field of the destined battle, right? y’know the one he’s been preparing for, for like ever… and:

•he arrives with no visible weapon?

(it is possible he had it in his sleeve, so i’m not 100% on this point, however at no time did he display a weapon.)

did he think he would just punch lucifer to death? genius plan michael.

•talks to dean??? let’s dean distract him from his battle?

dean held no importance to him anymore, why didn’t he -or lucifer- just kill dean on his first intrusion? logically, i mean if i was michael, the second dean rolled up, SNAP he’s dead. this is my destined battle and i can’t risk his hindrance of my divine task right?

•let’s cas holy fire molotov him???

you’re telling me micheal the oldest archangel with senses beyond human comprehension, did not have enough time to move out of the way of the molotov cocktail?

he let cas say “hey, ass butt” and watched the molotov fly towards him? you’re telling me that 7 seconds wasn’t enough time for big scary archangel army general michael to move his ass out of the way?

and yes, i understand that bc of the plot of the show the battle was more sam and dean centric blah blah blah and that’s why it has some plot armor.

but wow, battle was weak, you can’t tell me it looked like michael was really trying. michael just forgot to fight i guess
