sometimes when the world sleeps

I’ll feel a gentle tug in my heart

persuading me to fight the comforts of

slumber so that I can stand in silence

in prayer as the world sleeps 

waking up can be such a daunting test

but if I overcome it I know I’ll be the ultimate

winner as I get to be close to my
