ethanagnus headcanons because if rina's not gonna feed us someone has to

both of them have the quiet sort of jealousy but in different ways.

agnus sits there and seethes. he glares. he's not fucking happy and it shows, but if ethan looks at him he looks normal.

ethan on the other hand gets more touchy and starts calling agnus "my husband" in front of people just to really hammer the point home. he's still polite but in a really pointed way that says he'd rather be smacking a bitch

(agnus really likes ethan being possessive of him. it's a whole thing)

before they got together, if agnus was talking too much to someone or something along those lines, ethan did basically the exact same thing except he would call agnus his right hand man and stayed in the conversation LONG after he was supposed to leave it. he can wait anybody out

if ethan likes you he's going to communicate with you directly. if not you're working with agnus, who can be as standoffish as he wants because he's not the public face of the company.

the question of whether or not agnus is capable of love doesn't really matter to ethan. everything agnus has done for ethan is what ethan associates with love anyway

during ethan's 9 years in the coma, agnus was offered a fuck ton of positions with other people in other companies, and didn't take any of them. he didn't even entertain them. people had made jokes about him being ethan's guard dog before but this is when it really started to stick. (jonathan has called him this before too)

agnus doesn't really give a shit about clothes so he wears what ethan likes on him. if ethan says something looks good on him he's never throwing it out. this is how he got roped into wearing a hawaiian shirt on a vacation with teal and knox

as kids ethan made it his mission to make agnus like him. this didn't take terribly long and by that point agnus was ethan's for life

agnus always saw love as something that wounded and relationships as more trouble and effort than they were worth. he couldn't understand why anyone would willingly put themselves through any of it- and then there was ethan, and he begrudgingly admitted to himself that maybe he could understand, just a little
