A 54-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in the family apartment in Aigaleo suburb of western Athens. The woman had been stabbed multiple times in the neck, chest and abdomen and was laying in a blood pool when police arrived alarmed by neighbors..
Main suspect for the murder is considered the 20-year-old son, the second youngest of five children.
Neighbors said they saw him fleeing the apartment from a window, when another son, the youngest one, who was witnessing the murder started screaming for help. The youngest child, who has mobility problems, seems to have been an eyewitness to the murder.
