We’ve qualified and declared to compete in the 2025 Jockey Club TIP Championships this year! It’s going to be tricky getting Mikey legged up through August and September, but we’ll see what happens. We also qualified for USDF Regionals, which happens to be the same week. TIP in Aiken just seems like more fun to me. 😁

Once back at the house, there's still a little bit of school break left; but Aiken decides he wants to knock out all his leftover projects, to clear time to go out and meet prospective first kisses. Rhein and Laika, with college looming, have more serious study in mind. "Excuse me, can I get at that book on zen?" "That's in the other bookcase." "It is not." "Yes, it is. Remember Penny resorted them according to Library of Congress?"

"Miss Mary? The xylophone is playing itself." "Is it? Well, don't worry - that's just your gramma looking in on us. We need to put away all those baby toys anyhow. You ready to sleep in the big boy room with Aiken?" "I guess." It'd be better if the big boy room weren't the smallest room in the house.
