have yourself a merry little fan. || hyeri + ailee
It begins with a single click. Hyeri logs on to the video site, searching for any Christmas songs to play as she’s reluctant to lose the holiday mood until the very end of December. Some covers she finds are good, more of them worse, and then, miraculously, she happens upon a great one. “Ailee…” Hyeri reads the name aloud. The syllables are a bit foreign for her native tongue, but the girl’s English proficiency helps curve her natural “r” to a more substantial “l.” What a great voice.
Hyeri makes a playlist, adds several of Ailee’s videos onto it, and lets the computer take over as she continues putting together her shoebox for KT’s charity. The singer’s voice is uplifting and possesses a tonal power Hyeri hasn’t heard from anyone else except Taeyeon before. Hyeri’s reluctant to compare anyone to her mesmerizing unnie but this girl catches Hyeri’s attention and keeps it.
It’s hours after she’s finished the shoebox and changed into comfortable clothes that Hyeri finally decides to write the message. Would the other girl even read it? Hyeri doesn’t know, but when the girl types in the message, she writes hoping that her words reach the other with the admiration Hyeri feels. Like a real fan.

Dear Ailee,
I spent three hours listening to your songs while I worked today! You’re amazing!! You probably get a lot of messages like this but really… REALLY AILEE. You are incredible. Keep singing because I want to hear more. Not just me because there’s definitely others but also very much me, okay?
Hyeri
Ailee had wanted to go around and hand out things. It was something she did each year. Last year she handed out cookies, this year it was candy canes. A bright smile played on her lips as she bounced around. She wore a Santa hat on her head as she went around singing Christmas songs with a few friends of hers. The girl approached a younger male with a bright smile. “Merry Christmas !” she sang happily, this time of year was her favorite. She felt bad for people having to deal with her, but she couldn’t help but want to spread the Christmas Cheer. Holding out a candy cane she gave him a bright smile. “I hope you’re having a good day.” She stated brightly. It was odd, whenever she got into this mood, her shyness somewhat went away, but she knew it’d come back to bite her in a few. “Are you out holiday shopping, or just enjoying the city ?”
changjo loved the christmas season. honestly? it was his favourite time of year. everyone looked so joyful — it was lovely. the streets weren’t as busy as they usually were: seeing as it was freezing cold. he was planning on walking to find some restaurant to eat in before a girl walked up to him. he blinked before smiling lightly back. “merry christmas to you too. — thank you so much.” he accepted the candy cane from her as he nodded. “actually: i was having a rather horrid day, but you just made it better — thank you.” he usually wasn’t one for speech, changjo wasn’t shy — he just preferred being by himself typically. but the holiday season made him open up more so he answers, syncing himself in with his social side. “ah, just enjoying the city, i went holiday shopping a long while ago —” he laughs softly before continuing, “and you? are you enjoying the city, holiday shopping…?”

her fingers ran through the rows of clothes in the store. her face lot up at all the pastel colors surrounding her. it has been quite a while since she went shopping for clothes. though she wasn’t much of a fashionista, she does like to dress up at times. looking over at the black dress she put inside her basket, she reconsidered her options and took it out. she felt short wearing the dress -it was too long. taking a white shirt-dress this time, she scrunched he nose. the dress sure looked pretty, but will it look good on her?
she turned toward the mirror and looked at the piece of clothing she was holding. biting her lip, she turned to see if it would make her side-profile look better. shaking her head, she decided that she needs another person’s insight. her gaze fell upon a taker for who was also shopping near her. “excuse me,” she said, tapping the girl’s shoulders, “can you help me pick out some clothes?”
If I'm cooking, soup. It's easy and I don't need to pay attention to it. I prefer good company and don't mind what I'm eating, as long as it's tolerable and it doesn't kill me or something.
God why was this happening to her? She just wanted a peaceful day out with Ailee, the girl had slept over and they were going to hang out for the dad. Yubin had some things planned out but she got an unexpected and unwanted visit from her older sister. She woke up smiling and happy and comfortable. The dull ache in her head had gone and she was a lot more chipper then before. Still her mood was brought down tons when she heard a knock on her door and and opened it and her sister pushed in.
"Hello to you too." She muttered with a snort and followed the girl as she roamed throughout the house. Yubin didn't follower but sat down in the kitchen resting her head in her hands. She had hopped that it wouldn't wake up Ailee if she wasn't already up. Did this really have to happen right now? Didn't they make her suffer enough. Apparently not, she didn't look up as the girl walked into the room and slammed her purse down onto the counter.
Yubin wince but that went unnoticed by the older female as she crossed her arms and took a stance. -This is going to be good- Yubin thought looking up and fronwing.
"What is it this woman?" She finally asked seeing as the other wouldn't say anything. There was snort from her sister was ready to tear her a new one.
"You worthless piece of shit." The words almost slapped her in the face but Yubin was used to this. She didn't even try to get a word in, as her sister stepped closer to her.
"I swear, I don't know why they kept you around. You're more than nothing. Hell you aren't even full Korean." Another jab but Yubin didn't bite. No, she wouldn't because she knew how things like this happened. "You should have went messing with your crack whore mother. God why did I have to be related to someone has pathetic as you." She laughed and Yubin laid her palms flat on the table and counted in her head.
"I saw a picture of our other sister." Her sisters tone took on something warm and Yubin didn't trust it.
"She's prettier, and more talented. She's everything we could want in a family member but you're still here. Haven't you leeched off us enough? Don't you have any shame for that your mother did to our family?"
Yubin opened her mouth. "It takes two to tango." She smirked at her sister and stood up going to get some water.
"You're mother was nothing better then a good fuck, that landed us with you. Gosh, how could they even think about keeping you alive. And you had the nerve to turn down the offer that could have make dad's influence reach out more? Or do you only know how to be a little shit that ruins everything around you. God! Yubin! We only asked that you pack up, get married and move the fuck out of our lives. But no you couldn't do something simple that." Yubin nodded her head, seeing them get to the heart of the problem.
A deal, a merger, her father wanted to use her for that, now that he had the daughter he wanted and she refused.
"You're mother knew when to pack up and leave her daughter for crack." Her sister laughed. "Crack was more important to the women who gave birth to you, so what makes you think we could ever want you? Your stupid little girl holding onto fairy tales. We have the sister we want now. So do us a favor and leave, take a lesson from that women you call a move and leave. Or do you not get it. I don't want you, brother doesn't want you, father doesn't want you. Mother takes pity on you and hell your own mother knew you would be worthless."
Her sister took a step closer. "Take the deal and go."
