“Back to Baby Steps” challenge

Ever wondered how your adult Sims or the Sims of other Simmers would look like as toddler? In this challenge you can try it out!

Rules: Choose between 1 and 5 adult Sims of yours and turn them into toddlers! Post pictures of the adult and toddler version, so others have a comparison. Tag as many people as you like! Use the tag #backtobabysteps so we can all see your wonderful pictures and Sims ♥.

The lovely @treason-and-plot tagged me to do this challenge, so five centuries later, I present to you, Baby Zaid...followed by a photo of Adult Zaid and a coincidentally similar outfit!

Zaid was Aimal and Khizer’s first child and perhaps the one who managed to fit their ideals the best. After Zaid, Aimal was more than willing to have more children if motherhood was going to be this easy...famous last words.

Khizer and Aimal dropped in on Zaid and Sophie to see their grandchildren and give them a bit of a break.The combination of retirement, becoming a grandparent and becoming a father again seemed to have a huge effect on Khizer, who unlike his usual self, was positively cheerful (in comparison). He beamed as he told Zaid what he had planned for the day, while Aimal raised her eyebrows as she stood behind him.

“Nothing that I do seems to be shifting the weight this time! I went ricocheting into menopause after Jasmeen, look at my roots, they were never this grey!”

Aimal amazed Sophie. She had given birth prematurely at forty six and by the following day, she was sitting up in bed, plucking her eyebrows. Sophie had all but forgotten what foundation was and hadn’t attempted to wear anything other than loose fitting tops and leggings. 

“You know that you look great though.” She told her mother-in-law.

“Sweet of you to say. I’m showing my age, I wish Khizer wasn’t so uptight about cosmetic surgery!”

Sophie drank her coffee to avoid answering.

“You know dear,” said Aimal, looking her up and down, “you don’t need to do this on your own. If you ever need to go to the gym or get your hair done, I would be happy to look after them, Lucie can help me out!”

While Sophie knew that Aimal was solidly hinting that she had let herself go, she did appreciate the offer of help and knew that she would take her up on it as soon as she felt ready.

The Al Farsi family home

Aimal and Khizer invited Farrah, Harry and their family (Farid and Drew were spending New Year with Zaid and Sophie) over for New Year’s dinner. Spending New Year without a blinding vodka headache was a new experience for Farrah, who would have considered a prolonged period on the same room as her parents, her insane best friend (Edyta) teenage brother (Khalid), Harry. his teenage brother (Lloyd) and younger sister (Jelena), Lloyds boyfriend (Benny), her four month old son (Hadi) and her six month old sister (Jasmeen) to be absolute hell.

Khizer was simply unhappy that he had bought a massive new dining table and their didn’t seem to be any space for him. Jelena and Benny took advantage of the unspoken rule that adults who weren’t their parental figures wouldn’t give them into trouble for having cookies for dinner.

Aimal accepts that Khizer has terrible taste in clothing and sees his present day drab wardrobe as an achievement whenever she remembers the shirts that he wore in the early 90s.

As Khizer rolled on to his side, he felt the crunchy beginnings of at least a week of back pain. Totally worth it, he thought to himself as he smiled at Aimal. “Do you think we have enough time to...” He grinned. “Oh honey even if we did, you don’t do well on crutches, remember?” She replied soothingly. “Hmmph! We have at least an hour though; he’ll be telling Farid about his plans to secretly quit school and how we’re going to throw him out when we find out about it.”

Aimal bit back a smirk as she couldn’t help but admire her husband’s ability to keep tabs on the every move of their children.

“You know, you really shouldn’t read their instant messages!” She tried her best to sound disapproving. “What?! I wanted to play Minesweeper and he left the thing up on the screen!” “Of course he did. I wonder why they always think that we’re going to throw them out...” “Dramatic. They get it from their mother.” “You know, you could still end up on crutches.”
