Often called Aion Plutonius, the epithet Plutonius marks functional aspects shared with King Hades, husband of Persephone and ruler of the underworld in the Eleusinian tradition. Epiphanius says that at Alexandria Aion's birth from Persephone was celebrated 6 January:  "On this day and at this hour the Maiden gave birth to Aion." The date, which coincides with Epiphany, brought new year's celebrations to a close, completing the cycle of time that Aion embodies.

Hey, I'd hate to be a bother to you. But do you have any information on Aion or resources you could share about them? Thank you in advance.

I'm afraid not much, friend! As far as I know, Aion, or Eternity, is but another name for the God Khronos i.e. Father Time, the primordial God instead of the Titan Kronos. The orphics however dive plenty in His role as one of the first beings to ever exist. His theoi page is very full of info tho, it might be an honest good idea to give it a look! Here it is!

Orphism has quite a different mindset and theogony than the main sect of the religion, but it's always worth a look to see the plurality of belief systems since ancient times! But since I'm no expert in the matter, I know not a lot I'm afraid!
