I'm not a terrible person!
I've finally returned home... well... to where I live currently.
In any case, I'm home, and finally able to talk about my trip (to a point. Must uphold some bridge of confidentiality- even if no one else will). The trip- SURPRISE- only got worse after the night had passed... it was surprising to me even that it could go worse.
Not only had I awoken to my Co-Pilot having drawn... inappropriate things on my person, but he had also executed single-handedly his ridiculous idea of a prank! This involved the ludicrous plot of hiding my captain's uniform, to which (when asked politely of it's location) he commented on how I could wear HIS outfit, as it would be better suited for a pilot of MY caliber. Of course (true to form) he then mocked me when I informed him of the regulation that is stated about Captains donning their uniform while on duty.
I CAN'T SEEM TO WIN HERE.
I did finally happen to find my uniform though... laying in the mossy bathtub SOAKED THROUGH. Although I was able to go into work wearing my proper clothes (as deemed by a flight regulation that NO ONE here seems to have read), my employer upon seeing me criticized the smell, questioned my sanity, and then took pictures of the event... so she'd 'always remember the day the... captain... lost it'.
Of course it seems as if the bane of this crew's existance is the fact I am the captain, let's just say she didn't use that word upon describing me. I suppose I could say that maybe they're just jealous... but in fear of them reading this, I won't be so bold.
Anyway, it was a very uncomfortable flight- one of which the first officer could not stop making jests at. It really wasn't funny! This uniform has to be dry cleaned! Really, I DON'T have the money! I've been washing it in my sink with dish soap since I got home trying to get the smell out!
I mean... I'm absolutely joking. Of course I have a washer... I mean a laundry mat... In any case, the Co-Pilot... we can call now... Doogle... seemed to think this was a form of revenge for having to work with me.
I don't think I'm all that bad! Surely I haven't done anything to anyone bad enough to deserve that form of treatment. I mean how does it look for an air... dot to have a captain that appears so unprofessional? The crew didn't feel this way, however. They did think it was appropriate to mock me in front of quite a few people. Some of those people were other pilots... and rather attractive women. I hissed for 'Doogle' to silence himself, and he 'catching the drift' boldly (and loudly) stated that I hadn't a chance with anyone there. 'Be it female, or weak-willed animal' were his exact words. Everyone here seems to harbor a lot of hard feelings towards me...
Well, everyone except Arthur.
Honestly, I'm not worried if Arthur reads any of this. He's too dense to understand many words in the array of my complicated linguistic skills, and would probably just keep it to himself if he did. Which, deeming he is reading this right now, he WILL do.
(-Seriously, Arthur, if you happen to be reading this please do not talk to anyone about it, not even in passing. My (despite what 'Doogle' says about it's existence) career depends on it. I may not be getting through to you on this level, but the word 'FIRED' is not something I want to be hearing at any time soon.-)
In any case, I'm home(ish), and I'm just about ready to kick back with a flight manual and a cup of tea. Tomorrow I have another flight, and I'm not excited at all to see how the uniform has turned out by then... I hope that the iron will sort out some of the crinkles. More later. =Captain Martin Creiff=
