michaela remembers the soft snap of  the front door slipping shut behind her. she checks her watch, expects to find it’s some handful of hours after midnight: finds instead that it’s stopped working.

the low heel on her zanotti’s echo throughout the looming emptiness.

in the kitchen is: annalise’s back curved over the island, moonlight drifting in through the slit in the gauzy curtains.

“make your own drink,” annalise orders, does not turn around, does not move at all.

michaela ignores her words, moves efficiently until she’s too close, and then a step forward. keeps her eyes on the familiar slant of her profile as she slides the tumbler of bourbon out of her hand and takes a sip from it herself.

I'm gonna watch Queen Sugar. I dont kno how it got an S2 reneweal, it doesnt premier til Sept 6. But i'm there for Rutina and Ava Duvernay

ooooooo yes! i dont know why i havent heard much about this show at all tbh. i havent seen a single promo that i can remember...

but i happy as hell for rutina and hope the show is a hit.

Saw that Eagle One post for Supergirl and I'm not surprised that they put Cat as "Currently doing that". Like, this is the first time I've had a serious issue with lesbian crackship bloggers in a fandom. Because typically, *I* am the lesbian crackship blogger. But these people are delusional and insane!! They actively try to push how there's really a Cat/Kara romance ship and I'm like "Are we watching the same show?"

I have zero problems with people shipping Cat/Kara - until they start erasing James Olsen, aka her actual canon love interest who she canonically has a crush on and who happens to be black. Especially when they DO insinuate that she and Winn was a thing?? WHAT KIND OF LOGIC?? 

I can actually see chemistry with Cat/Kara, sometimes even slightly romantic (although I don’t ship it because boss/employee and major age difference) - so I don’t think they’re completely delusional. The problem is them acting like it’s all there is, like “oh obviously this is being set up as the Official Ship, no other ships are even valid”. The problem is when they’d sooner have her lusting after LUCY than Lucy’s black boyfriend who, again, is the actual canon love interest in the comics and on the show. 

Just ... ship Cat/Kara all you want but don’t erase James and don’t shove any old white person in front of him - it’s that simple. And that Parks quote doesn’t fit here anyway because by using it you imply that Kara is 100% a lesbian (”if I had to pick a dude”) and since she’s canonically attracted to James that is not a correct assumption.

tbqh, i thought the issue was between taraji and terrence.

this season, in general, has felt off. it wasn’t until i watched the most recent episode with my sister (negl, we were high) and had a deep conversation on what we saw that i REALLY noticed it. we were speculating that terrence had wronged taraji is some way because whatever they had in season 1 that really made the love/hate relationship between cookie and lucious so palpable had completely disappeared. and it wasn’t due to a lack of talent—it’s a loss of chemistry…

in either case, terrence howard remains the problem child.
