Enjoy the crunchy goodness of homemade potato chips without the excess oil by making them in your air fryer. These chips are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and you can customize the seasonings to your liking.
Ingredients: 2 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional seasonings: paprika, garlic powder, or your choice.
Instructions: If you want, you can wash and peel the potatoes first. Then, use a mandoline or a sharp knife to cut them into thin slices. To get rid of extra starch, put the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes. Use a paper towel to dry them off after you drain them. Toss the potato slices in a large bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other spices you like. Make sure that all of the slices are coated. Get your air fryer ready by heating it up to 375F 190C. Place the seasoned potato slices in the air fryer basket so that they are all in one layer. Make sure they don't touch or crowd each other. They might need to be cooked one at a time. For 10 to 15 minutes, flip the potato slices over halfway through the cooking time. Keep an eye on them because the cooking time will depend on the model of your air fryer and how thick the slices are. Take the potato chips out of the air fryer when they are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool down a bit. As a tasty snack or side dish, serve the homemade potato chips right away.
