This quick and easy Air Fryer Tofu recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or when you need a healthy protein-packed meal in a hurry. The tofu is marinated in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, maple syrup, and spices, then air fried to crispy perfection. It's delicious on its own or served with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside rice and vegetables.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, extra firm. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon cornstarch. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger. Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions, sriracha.
Instructions: Tofu can be pressed to remove extra moisture by covering it with paper towels and pressing a heavy object on top for ten to fifteen minutes. As the tofu presses, prepare the marinade by combining the soy sauce, ground ginger, ground onion, maple syrup, cornstarch, and onion and garlic powder in a bowl. Pressed tofu should be chopped into bite-sized cubes and thoroughly coated in marinade. Give it at least fifteen minutes to marinate. Set the temperature of the air fryer to 375F 190C. Make sure the marinated tofu cubes are not packed too tightly in the air fryer basket by placing them in a single layer. Tofu should be air-fried for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, or until it becomes crispy and golden brown. Serve hot with optional garnishes of sriracha, green onions, or sesame seeds. Have fun!
