Right off the bat, I want to thank @utrgvpulse magazine for publishing my two stories back to back on their website. I had always heard about their magazine and seen their issues at campus, but it never dawned on me to submit to them until recently. “Twenty-twenty” is my flash nonfiction story that I’ve trying to get released for years now. The title itself has multiple meanings, especially now that 2020 has come and gone. It is a day in the life of my past self and deeper, darker look into mental health. So if you ever wanted to get to know me, here’s a little slice of my raw truth. “Aisle 7” is a flash fiction story that was first published in Fleas on the Dog literary magazine, now accepted twice (with minor changes) to be shared with different readers. You can refer to that older post of mine from last year for more insight. Although I’ve included both pieces on here, the link is my bio, so you can check out the rest of their website which features other local artists and news along with their past issues. Please support us by reading our material that we put our hearts and minds into. Art saves lives. Also, follow @charrodrive and stay tuned for a short film called Bruises and my secret writing project hopefully completed by this year. Thank you and happy 4/20! https://www.instagram.com/p/CN6TukQrCZy/?igshid=ptgxb8a9it4i
