I don’t know where to start. With everything happening during these strange times, I still feel blessed and now more accomplished than ever. After so many rejection emails, writer blocks, and long hours, I can finally announce my first global publication. Located in Canada, Fleas on the Dog is a literary magazine that has given me the wonderful opportunity of publishing my flash fiction story titled “Aisle 7” in their sixth issue, May 2020. It’s still pretty surreal for me because I try writing new pieces as of lately and submit to so many online journals and magazines in hopes of getting my writing out there. When COVID-19 hit the U.S., I saw it as a sign to get back to writing and took advantage of all my free time in quarantine. In sincere honesty, I couldn’t and wouldn’t have ever achieved this dream of mine without my partner in crime and soulmate @dentdelions; she pushed me to my limits, challenged my creativity, and believed in my potential when I didn’t. She also helped edit this very story, and for that, I’ll never stop loving her and owe her so much. Please visit fleasonthedog.com or check out the link in my bio (because I do not have the rights to my work for three months and other writers who’ve made their debut like myself deserve a read as well). Maybe I’ll post “Aisle 7” on here when the rights revert back to me. In the meantime, please go read it when you have a chance. It’s not long, and I’m so fucking proud of myself for improving and progressing as a writer. I don’t know what else to say. I’m just honored and grateful to be alive, happily doing what I love beside my woman. Stay safe out there and take care, humans! https://www.instagram.com/p/CAOugHIp7sX/?igshid=1etqtxgc08zoh
