Okay so here's the thing about tony stark dying in endgame: it just wouldn't be doing his character justice. If the Russo bros decide to kill tony off, I won't be sad because he's gone (lmao who am I kidding , I would be destroyed hahahah h hhah), I'd be sad that we never really got to see him happy? Like he's always had some kind of battle or hardship or life-ending issue or intense ptsd hanging over his head and we never get to just see him just.....be? Like I think it's fair to argue that we got glimpses of it during his parts in homecoming , or the 10 secs at the beginning of Infinity war when he was with pepper in the park, and it was so SO refreshing to see him hopeful , my god... But hopes aren't enough for me, ya know? I wanna SEE IT!! (and I know that movies aren't interesting without conflicts, but you don't know all the facts, which are: I would. I would kill to see it. But thats just my own personal wants, anyways)
So ya if the Russo bros decide to kill off tony in endgame, it would frankly be an injustice to the most beloved character of this decade-long saga that so many of us are invested in. I really hope they understand this and not keep on the whole "the stakes are high"
(Also, I kno the real-life semantics of it are difficult what with rdj's contract coming to an end, but I'd honestly be okay with never seeing tony stark again on screen as long as there's assurance that he's off living his best life with pepper and the baby.)
so. it’s over. that was the end. i know that next step is to move on. that’s the whole theme of this movie, right?
It’s just so hard to really wrap my head around it. I felt empty in the theatre, after I left the theatre.
I got teary on the streetcar ride home. And then when I was scrolling through twitter a couple hours a ago. I feel like the realization is trickling in slowly.
I’ve already written out my love letter to rdj and tony stark on this blog i think.
so I think ill just end my thoughts here (for now).
I’ll always love you 3000, Tony Stark.
UGGGGHH I know tony walking behind Steve in that traile might just be a fakeout but like......one can hope!!!
Endgame vines that didn't cure my depression but definitely helped *SPOI...
