Oh and for reference to those who donât know @novashifter15â is referring to a COMIC OF THE FIRST CHAPTER OF SMALL FRY. I donât deserve you friend.
Also lowkey I know ive been dead on the TF front pls don't hate međđđ
In the last chapter of Lil'Bit I felt really sorry for our Aj... everyone tries to help her without really understand how. It was a fantastic chapter, however. Great job as always, @thesarcasticknightblr!
Soooo... yes. Once again. I love drawing and with this story I always find the inspiration to do it. So here an Aj with her super-cool suit! (I may take some ideas from Kai'sa by LOL, but shh, don't tell to Riot...)
I made myself sad re-thinking of a scene I imagined but never got to write out so I figured I'd type it up real quick and make all of you kind of sad too!! You are welcome!! Itâs more than just angst though so there ya go đâđź
Taylor hurried into the hanger with her phone in hand. She had texted Bumblebee that she driven her own car to base from the Vegas home, but he hadn't replied back yet. Her mom needed her to pick something up from Willâs office and she wanted to talk to Ratchet about future career options. She had just wrapped up her first year of undergrad and had a lot of ideas of where she wanted her life choices to take her. Hearing Ratchetâs opinion on it all would settle her mind a little bit. As for her mom, Taylor kept telling her that technically Lucas was old enough to leave the house, according the the hospital, but her and Lennox didn't want to take the newborn out quite yet.
âWait, youâre on base?! Stay where you, don't move, Iâm heading to the hanger.â Bumblebee texted back. She gave the message a curious look.Â
Taylor glanced around again, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The base didn't look like something was going on so Bumblebeeâs weird panic seemed out of place. Plus, it wasn't her first time coming onto base alone. Granted, she usually had Tyler with her but since her twin had just started boot camp he couldn't tag along.Â
She gave a solider a quick wave while ignoring Bumblebeeâs panic and continuing on her way. Seeing an 18 year old walk around a military base would be an odd sight anywhere else, but most of the soldiers on base recognized her and her brothers now. Besides, if a new soldier did happen to stop her she had an ID card in her wallet that gave her access. Not many 18 year olds could say that about a high priority military base.
Taylor turned down a hall with the plans to grab what her mom wanted first in fear that if she got to talking to the Autobot medic sheâd get carried away and forget the errand entirely.Â
â--quaint but it will work just fine. Make sure my list of supplies is addressed though.â
Taylor came to a halting stop when a group of people cut her off in the hall from a side hallway she had nearly passed. She recognized one of the two soldiers, but it was the third face that made her heart stop.
It was Aj.Â
Her hair was longer, pulled back into a high, sleek ponytail, and she looked skinnier, but it was her. Taylor always wondered if the memory of her aunt had been altered in her mind over the years. She worried that so much time had passed that her memory had forgotten details of her auntâs appearance, but this was proof that the memory she had was solid.
âAj?â Taylor breathed softly. She could feel her heart skip a beat. Aj turned around to look at her. Her eyes widened in recognition and one eyebrow rose in question. Was this why Bumblebee hadn't wanted her around? Had a miracle occurred?? âAj, is it you!?â
She opened her mouth, but Taylor didn't give her a chance to speak. She lunged forward and tackled her aunt in a tight hug. A tearful laugh slipped out of her mouth.
âGet the hell off me.â The words were cold and harsh, and they felt like a slap in the face. Taylorâs grip loosened and she stumbled back to see Ajâs eyes were filled with a serious irritation that she didn't remember before. âIâm not your aunt. Donât touch me again.â
Without another word, Aj turned on her heel and marched away with both soldiers flagging each side of her. It was only then that Taylor noticed the white doctorâs coat and heels. Two things that Taylor didn't remember seeing her aunt in.
âTaylor!â Bumblebeeâs hologram tackled her in a quick hug. He let her go so he could stand in front of her. âIâm so sorry, I wanted to warn you. The base hired this universeâs version of... Everyone is on edge right now we didn't want to tell you or Tyler or Pete- Iâm so sorry, please donât cry.â
Bumblebee used his hands to wipe away tears from her face. Tears she hadn't known she had until he did so. A sob left her and her hand shot up to cover her mouth in embarrassment. She should've known it was too good to be true. Taylor knew now it wasn't her aunt, but to see the look-a-like scorn her and waltz away left her feeling like someone had kicked her in the gut.
-------------------EIGHT YEARS LATER------------------
âLanguage, Auntie Aj. You donât want to poison our young minds do you?â Tyler drawled in a smug voice. She could feel excitement radiating off her twin. Taylor rushed forward but stopped at the bedside.
 It was Aj.Â
She was propped up in bed with a cast on her leg. Her hair hung around her shoulders, dirty, and her face was covered in bruises and cuts. Warm, blue eyes stared at her widely in awe and surprise. Taylor felt her bottom lip quiver, but she quickly bit down on it with a shake of her head, âI know this is so weird and I don't blame you if you need some space, but I really, really want to hug you right now?â
âTaylor?â Aj finally spoke again. Her voice was soft and familiar. It held affection and warmth. Worry filled Taylor as a past memory drifted in her head. She watched as Aj shook her head and a slow, familiar smirk filled her features.
âWhen have you ever had to ask to hug me, kiddo?â
No character intros today because I am hella behind and have none finished đĽ´âđź. I have boards coming up in the beginning of July so until thatâs over with you guys unfortunately wonât be seeing nay new content for the most part!
I thought this would be a fun thing to kind of start though! Every once in a while I'll throw out a random fun fact about the series (making of) just so you know I am still living lolol.
Fun fact #1: I thought I'd share a picture of something yâall might remember from Small Fry. Remember what the kids got for Aj on Christmas??
I actually own that shirt!! Thatâs where the idea of the shirt came from. Itâs my pajama shirt and thought itâd be perfect as a gift from the kids to Aj haha. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I got it? Someone ordered it off the internet for me as a gift ages ago.
Fun fact #2: I mentioned something in a question before about how this series had various starts to it where I wasn't sure where I wanted the story to begin or with who. One of the original ideas I had for this (before I came up with the idea of the kids), was a group of sisters. Aj was the middle child with an older sister named Aubrey and a little sister named Amber. Aubrey was gonna be college aged, Aj was gonna be 17, and Amber was gonna be 11. The story was going to revolve around the three of them dealing with the Transformers blasting into their reality, but obviously that never came to fruition haha. Amber got cut from the story board pretty early in the planning process (Iâm telling you I went through like 7 different versions before settling on the one yâall got to read) and then of course I aged up Aj and Aubrey, but thatâs just one of the paths Small Fry nearly went down!
This question is for Jazz! What were your favorite songs that you had on that mp3 player?
Jazz drummed his fingers against his chin in thought, a smirk playing on his faceplates, âYa know? I donâ remember a lot of what I downloaded.âÂ
Aj gave him a curious look while Prowl who stood not far turned to stare at his lying friend in confusion. Aj questioned him, âYou don't?â
âNope. I do remember all the stuff youâd sing âround the house.â Jazz beamed at her, âThat always stuck with me, sweetspark.â
âAw.â Aj chimed and Prowl rolled his optics with a shake of his head. Aj gave the saboteur a quick smirk, âThatâs cheesy as hell and will not make up for the fact that you wonât drive me into Vegas for a smoothie.â
Jazz chuckled and continued to plead his case about how he was up to his neck cables in work and meetings, but Aj crossed her arms and ignored him entirely. Prowl knew the only reason the TIC wasn't taking her to Vegas was because Ratchet threatened him bodily harm to not take her off base. It had very little to do with responsibility. Â
