70. “Wow, somebody needs a Happy Meal.”
Tendou had been having a good day. He hadn’t done much aside from lay on the couch so essentially it was a great day.
That is, until his partner came home and slammed the door behind him, the entire apartment shaking.
It was rare that Matsukawa got mad. He usually was cool, calm, and collected when it came to things that upset him and it took something big to get him to outwardly express that. Tendou couldn’t pin down exactly what had happened because his boyfriend never made it clear that anything was going on in the first place.
“Hi.” Tendou greeted but Matsukawa just walked past him breezily, causing Tendou’s eyebrows to shoot up, “Wow, somebody needs a Happy Meal.” Judging from the sigh in the other room, Matsukawa had heard him. Tendou got up and looked at his boyfriend chugging orange juice from the carton.
“Sup, mister grouchy pants?”
“Are you always like this?” Matsukawa mumbled and dropped the orange juice back into the fridge. His eyebrows were pinched in either contemplation or anger, Tendou didn’t know.
Tendou shrugged, “Yeah. But you can always talk to me if you need.”
Matsukawa sighed and didn’t do anything for a moment. He groaned and then dropped his forehead to Tendou’s shoulder, exhaling. Tendou pat his bacl, “There there.”
Matsukawa reached up to grip his shirt, “It’s just dumb stuff.”
“It’s not dumb if it upsets you,” Tendo whispered. Matsukawa cracked a smile.
“Thanks. Maybe later though?”
Tendou nodded. He would never push Matsukawa to tell him if he didn’t want to.
