what inspired your muses? what about them inspires you?

I’ve had Sophia and Alarana around for a long time. They’re actually characters in my novel series, along with Kimaru actually! They all came from the same idea, and they’ve been kicking around in my head for a long time. I made them almost ten years ago and have evolved them since then.

I don’t even remember what their original inspirations were, but I remember their most current rendition, besides this one, was about magic! Kimmi was a water mage druid who loved the water and splashing in puddles and oddly morbid about certain things. The twins...they’ve had developments that I’m not really sure I can explain.

Alarana and Kimmi inspire me to be curious and stop being afraid to get what I want if I want it. Alarana is so headstrong and confident and I wish I could be like that sometimes. Kimmi is so happily ignorant to things but willing to learn if someone would teach her. And I wish I was able to see things like her, with absolute wonder. They just make me excited about things I normally aren’t.

Sophia...well she’s special. She holds back, afraid to hurt people that get too close, and I relate to that on a spiritual level. She wants to be accepted and loved, but doesn’t know how to do that or to communicate that. She’s locked herself up like a doll in a display case, and sometimes I feel like I put on a mask for the general public when I’m working or whatever. Even through her still demeanor, she still finds it in her to be kind to everyone she meets. And It gives me life.

makes friends with the neighbors - They both do, and they both leave great impressions on the neighbors

hogs the covers at night - Kaoru, and then Izumi has to fight him for the covers

forgets to do the dishes - Kaoru. Izumi gets pissy with him everytime

tries to surprise their partner more often - Izumi, and it’s really cute because he’s a little tsundere about it

leaves dirty laundry on the floor - Kaoru, and he gets scolded alot

stays up til 2 AM reading - Neither?????

sings in the shower - They both do

takes the selfies - They both love selfies, and their photos are always super pretty

plans date night - Izumi, and Kaoru always loves their dates

1.What makes you the most emotional about your muse?

He can be a snide douche nozzle but he secretly really cares about the friends he has. And it’s really hard for him to make friends because he’s such a snide douche nozzle but he does wanna make friends he’s just...so bad at it.

14. How would you describe your muse to someone about to meet them, in person, for the first time?

Izumi is off putting, sharp tongued with quick wit and acts like a cat sometimes. He doesn’t like affection, and is a tsundere about basically everything friendship or romance related. But he’s loyal and honest, if not so brutally.

8.Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?

I really do want Izumi to find peace and happiness. He’s rough around the edges, but with some work he doesn’t have to be an asshole 24/7. I think finally realizing that it’s okay to accept people’s compliments and help without getting defensive about it would really turn him around, to see his own self worth.

19.If you had to judge your muse and sentence them to a “fair” fate, what would your judgement be? Would you punish them? Reward them? How?

This is a tough one! I would probably punish him tbh. Like, he’s just sort of a dick to everybody, even his closest friends. So I would definitely not let him off the hook. Maybe I’d turn him into a cat and make him accept affection from people and learn how to lighten up, sour puss lmao.
