if there was one thing namine had gotten really good at over the course of being at ttu for a year, it was wandering. it seemed that every day she would find something new, or someone new, to draw and learn from. she carried her sketchbook with her everywhere, always hoping to find something that would really catch her muse. and most of the time, she found something.
the walks and wandering had gotten a little lonely lately, and she considered maybe hanging out with the friends she already had would be a better pastime. then again, friends were usually busy with classes or activities or studying or whatever, and so to wandering she took, this time near the dance studios, curious to see if anyone was in them.
namine was not a dancer herself, and although it seemed like something she might like to learn, she was always too shy to sign up for a class or anything of the like. to express her secret desire, she found a love for drawing dancers. right now, she was peeping into rooms, seeing if anyone was around, until finally she opened the door and spotted a very graceful man doing a very graceful dance. once he noticed her, he lookedâŚannoyed.
âoh, uhm â sorry to interrupt. i was justâŚwandering. a-and, uhm. i was wondering if i could maybeâŚstay and watch? i-if thatâs not gonna bother you?â
Izumi couldnât quite understand why it was that every time he tried to practice, someone was always interrupting him. However, it looked like this excuse wasnât as stupid as he originally thought it might have been. She looked like someone who would get lost easy, wandering into the wrong rooms. But he might have been wrong.
She was nervous, stuttering and stumbling over herself. It showed him that she wasnât confident, and that irritated him. Blue eyes focused on the sketchbook in her hands, and suddenly it all made sense. Artists of all varieties found inspiration anywhere and everywhereâŚjust like an estranged composer he knew. He never understood it, and he didnât want to either.
He waved his hand, sighing. âNo, you can stay. Talk confidently, otherwise people will dismiss you.â He took a small pause, now that his heart rate had spiked from getting scared by the damn door. Izumi couldnât help but focus on the sketchbook in her hands, thinking for a few more moments. He would have to get her to speak clearly, without all the stumbling. It would make things easier. âYouâre an artist then I take it. Are you looking for material or just passing through?â
