[The Magic Munchies is a cosy looking little bakery with low prices despite their pasteries all looking very high quality. Behind the counter stands a young person with a beanie over their bleached hair and eyes that look more orange than brown, but maybe that's just a trick of the light.]

Back to Ajax and Pat being the dumbest dudes in Chicago
~
“Hey, while I have you,” Ajax says, “Did you mean to name your dogs after this book?”
“No? What book?”
Pat starts to trudge home toward the incredibly beautiful man who wants to sleep with him. Ajax is right that his dogs should not suffer for Pat’s mental state and poor decision-making skills.
“The book. The Iliad. I told you I’m reading it.”
“My dogs are in it?”
“You truly didn’t purposefully name your dogs after two of the most famous lovers in history?”
“No? That’s disgusting. They are dogs. They are siblings at best, unwilling roommates at worst.”
“Yeah, that’s also siblings, but fine.”
“Helen was named Helen when I got her like I told you before, and I kept it because I like Helen Mirin, and Alexander is for a singer I like. And anyway, wasn’t Helen’s lover a city? Um, Paris?”
“He was also Alexander. He had two names.”
“He did? Why did he get two names?”
“Almost everyone had two names.”
“What was your guy’s second name?”
“Ajax the Greater, Ajax of Salamis, Big Ajax, Bulwark of the Achaeans, Telamoniades…”
“What was my guy’s?”
“He didn’t have two names.”
“He only had one? Your guy got to be a bulwark and mine’s just a guy? Why?”
“I don’t know. Sometimes Achilles calls him ‘prince.’”
“That’s not a name.”
“No, but it is something. I mean, they were all princes and kings, though.”
“Even your guy?”
“Especially my guy.”
“What was Helen’s other name?”
“I don’t think the women got more than one.”
Pat scoffs. “That’s Greece for you.”
“For someone who hates Greek everything so much, you sure did name your dogs after one of the most famous stories.”
“Yeah, so famous you didn’t even know I’d accidentally done it until twelve hours ago.”
“Touché.”
