I'm curious as to how you use Tumbler as different from posting on AO3. I've seen that a lot of writers on AO3 have Tumbler accounts, and I've been looking for a place where I can connect with other writers and readers of Good Omens fics. So I created an account but for the life of me I haven't been able to quite figure out how Tumbler can be that. What do you find it useful for? I loved your So Much Discounted story, by the way, such a unique twist in the plot.
Honestly, I’ve been having much the same trouble. I made this tumblr to connect to others in fandom, but I usually end up getting too nervous when I want to reach out. Mostly, I use it now to try and promote my writing. I try to do WIP Wednesdays (which is hit or miss right now with my work schedule), and answer questions. Sometimes I’ll also ask for prompts or do one of those ‘ask the author’ things I’ve seen floating around.
I do find it useful for posting meta about my fics, or if I want to get into more detail about why I chose to do something a certain way. It’s a good way to get my thoughts out there without cluttering up the notes sections on my fic.
I feel like discord is probably a better place to connect, but honestly I wouldn’t even know where to begin with that unless someone had a server directly for the fandom/ship. I know they do exist for Good Omens, I just don’t quite know how to find them.
