COLD READING - She didn't complain when she had to deal with some hooligans of the Order Party disturbing her class. She didn't complain when they seized her bike. Antigone never complains. Something has been said in that office.

I smile politely. Antigone has always been a wild card, too keen on obeying her very own principles. I wonder if she actually likes to suffer and inflict pain on herself; isn't every recovering anorexics eager to destroy a body they don't feel at home in? Lara is the same, but with ballet practice.

"You're too proud, as always."

"If we all leave the country, they will have won."

"Still, in those predicaments, you're fucked."

She laughs. "That's one way to put it."

In that situation my blorbo would stand off the friend she was supposed to see tonight, tell the people she loves that they are a bunch of guys who don't care about her, smoke 7 cigarettes, get high, hook up with a random woman, light trash on fire, and end up sitting on the pavement crying that she is alone and unloved

This being the worst reaction possible, I know that remaining calm, kind, and full of love is objectively the thing I should keep doing
