The Almyran court magician glances over the teen, now a young man, as a warm smile graces her otherwise cold demeanor. “Your Highness. It hath been many moons; welcome home.” Jadis recalls fond memories (and moments where his mischief had gone too far) as she looks him over. “Are you emulating Nadir? I pray not.”

at times like these he wonders if those smiles she gives him are only reserved for him. he has always found the almyrian court magician to be an odd one --- perhaps that is why he has grown so fond of her. even as a young boy the magician fascinated him for her expression rarely changed, her tone just as cold as her appearance. not quite alive but not quite death either something entirely in between. a stare that could send shivers down anyone’s spine yet those eyes never looked at him like the way people looked at him. he was just like any other. at that time and even now he takes comfort out of that.
‘ it has been a while has it not ? ’ and he finds himself matching her smile without realizing. ‘ and still looking as lovely as ever too ! ’ he cannot help but say it. after all it is rare to see her smile, but it is a good look on her.
claude takes a deep breath as he looks around him, the place, his home, has not not changed a bit. it is as if the place has stood still in time and he was the only one that changed, grew older. even now he feels that the place that should be home to him is not his home; he has been away for a rather long time after all. but unlike back then he feels less powerless. he has grown and he has a vision for the place that in due time would become his home once again.
the prince lips curl into a smirk, ‘ not this time jadis, it would be poor form to greet my teacher like that. but i cannot make any promises for our second encounter. ’ no doubt his teacher would give him an earful if he were to do so however in claude’s opinion it is a good response to the constant teasing judith and he gave him. ‘ is my father in the throne room? i suppose it is time i finally announce my return ’
