A Tattoo Study — Lisette C. Taylor

Lis is a bit of the whimsical type when it comes to deciding on her tattoos — both the design of the tattoo, and the placement. While she tries to branch out to different styles, she always finds herself gravitating towards ones that are a bit more dainty-like. In addition to the dainty aesthetic, her placements are almost always in spots where they are easily overlooked or purposefully placed in a spot where only a certain amount people would be able to see.

1. Lis has adored flowers ever since she was a child. Her mother being a big fan of plants and flowers taught Lis the importance of appreciating nature and what it has to offer.

2. Her mother’s favorite flower is the peony; the flower Lis would see her father bring on on her mother’s birthday every year.

3. The mandala is a nod to her Indian heritage.

4. A matching tattoo that she gets with her best friend Eli after accepting his proposal ( after twenty two years of being proposed to ).

5. A rose and a knife — Lis’ first tattoo. Doesn’t mean too much beyond a reminder to be gentle, but have a sharp tongue when needed.
