Wow
It feels good to be creative again. I finally bought Yukari’s Jun and Onn banks along with Gakupo’s V4 banks and Kokone, and I’m loving playing around with them. I was initially very worried about Yukari not being what I expected to be, but her banks are actually not as difficult to use as I thought they were initially. They have minimal volume problems, like Mayu and Miki, and Yukari’s voice is distinctly more mature than the other banks I have, which saves me a lot of time and frustration from potentially having to learn how to use V4 Luka. I think next Vocaloids on my list of ones I want to get are Lily V3, VY2V3, and both of Nekomura Iroha’s V4 banks.
Anyway, I really like this song a lot. The vision for this song dates back to when I first saw that Yukari had been updated to V4, and for the longest time, I could not be satisfied by any other Vocaloid or UTAU I tried to cover this song with. Since I was more used to hearing the Luka cover of this song, I couldn’t fathom the idea of a younger sounding voice covering the song, so it was frustrating to have to wait so long to get Yukari to cover the song. Once I actually got Yukari, it felt like a giant block had been lifted, and my creativity came back entirely. I’m still trying to piece together the meaning of this song, and I think once I do figure it out, I’ll appreciate it even more. If it sounds different from the Luka cover I mentioned earlier, it’s because I modeled my cover after Ritsuka’s cover instead of the Luka one. Enjoy!

hidden in shadow } So I got bored today and decided to say ‘screw it’ and not care that people were home while I recorded a cover for the first time in months. I mashed up Yume to Hazakura and Akahitoha, and surprisingly enough, the lyrics kind of work together (based on translations I’ve read, at least–I’m not entirely certain).
30 Day Vocaloid Challenge Day 8 - A song you know all the lyrics to
Akahitoha (YouTube) Singer: Megurine Luka (originally by Hatsune Miku) Music/lyrics: Kurousa-P
Another song I discovered through TinierMe. I loved the beautiful melody and PV on my first listen and just had to learn the lyrics. Back then, I had no knowledge at all of the Japanese language and was just trying my best to remember the sounds lol. There’s a line with the word “hokage” in it and it was the easiest one to remember :P (it’s a legit word)
As I understood the language more and more, it became easier and easier to remember the lyrics, and to correct the mistakes I’ve made while memorizing the syllables. The lyrics, lovely and poetic and sad, are about a girl who only realizes her feelings toward a guy as he leaves for war, parting with her under falling red leaves.
