i've been super curious because i am still v green when it comes to nsp & twrp lore/havent listened to every song but where does the name 'Around' come from? i probably just missed it but dfghgf

so not too long after heart boner came out (i confirmed the princess/named her rose like. that day.) i wrote a oneshot about danny and rose meeting for the first time. in conversation she asks him where he's from and he goes "uhhhh yknow. around." and rose is like. from a kingdom a good couple centuries in the past, so she's not used to people saying "around" as just a way of meaning "multiple places" so she assumes his kingdom just has a weird general name. rose is kind of your stereotypical yearning to be free disney princess (shh i play with tropes) so she asks him what his kingdom is like because she's dying to go Anywhere that isn't confined behind her castle gates.
danny starts bullshitting but accidentally ends up with something kinda profound.
after writing that part i named the oneshot "a kingdom called around", and i was more proud of it than most things i write. after sitting on it for a while, i decided i needed to write more, i could write the whole story about how danny and rose met and fell in love and ended up together.
i'm convinced that they are canon/endgame (and nsp videos come out in nonchronological order fjfjfkfj) bc when the heart boner video came out and dan and brian made the announcement video for it, brian mentioned that there was a first for danny in the video (he means actually kissing the girl, but i genuinely believe it's also bc he sings a somewhat sexual song about nonsexual feelings) and he added, "remember. all of this is canon." i have never forgotten mr. wecht. also this is how dan described the meaning of the song.
he confirms that heart boner isn't just an act to guarantee sex. it's danny sexbang having genuine feelings for someone, which, the last time that happened, he literally said "FUCK THAT SHIT LET'S BAIL!!!! I'M GONNA PUT MY DICK IN LITERALLY EVERYONE FUCK COMMITMENT FUCK EMOTIONAL GROWTH" but this time he feels strongly enough to actually express those feelings. he still can't not mention boners, plugging, plowing, wieners, and other sexual stuff, but that's basically his scope. but he's changing to meaning to be about actual romantic feelings he has for the princess. also, in release the kraken, he's literally king of a kingdom that just about fits the kingdom seen in heart boner. i'd say connect the dots but don't worry i already did it for you.
ANYWAY that was a big tangent on why i believe they're canon/endgame. BUT YEAH BASICALLY i've always latched onto "around is whatever you want it to be." and after meeting danny, ninja brian, and twrp, eventually marrying danny, eventually eventually marrying sung, and living in her castle with everyone (and part time in dan and brian's time and part time in space w the starlight brigade, can we please commend this woman on this crazy balancing act), for rose, around is a place filled with love. because that's what a kingdom called around is about (or at least it will be when i write it all gjfjfj): love. danny has to come to terms with actually being in real love with someone and Wanting to be in love with them. brian has to silently come to terms with danny caring deeply for someone else without killing them (because that's love!). vera (who i haven't mentioned at all in this but basically she's rose's protective best friend) similarly has to let rose fall in love and go through everything that comes with it. twrp doesn't really learn anything, they already know about love. but they help reinforce what danny learns! (but of course outside of the story i'm writing, sung and rose love each other and rose loves havve/meouch/phobos like family)
there's gonna be a running gag in a kingdom called around that the name of rose's kingdom is always interrupted or censored or a person fails to even attempt to pronounce it. spoilers but it's title, at the end when danny and rose are married and danny becomes king, they rename the kingdom to around, with a goal of making around an ideal place for their people. because around is whatever you want it to be!!!!
that was way too long but uhh i love my story that i've barely written. tldr around is the name of where i lived in my canon and it brings me great comfort bc i associate it with being surrounded by love happiness and freedom. all that gay shit.
