Misaki sits at his desk in his old room on a chilly May morning. The smell of coffee is wafting through the air; he is preparing Usagi's schedule for the week, although he already has his entire month planned out, he knows telling him week by week would be less overwhelming for the author. Usagi knocked on the cracked door, then leaned against the frame, smiling at the younger man.
Usagi: What are you doing, baby?
Misaki: *Grins, keeping head down over his work* I'm working on your schedule for the month, but I'm only going to give you what you have to do this week. I don't want you to get overwhelmed.
Usagi: *walks over to the younger boy, wrapping his arms around his shoulders.* Why are you in here? You haven't been in this room in months.
Misaki: This is the only room with a desk.
Usagi: My office has one you know. *Kisses Misakis cheek*
Misaki: Heh, I know, but you were in there; you looked super busy and... I needed to work.
Usagi: Hey, *He turned Misaki's chair, so the man was looking at him*, we should move this desk into my office.
Misaki: No, um, we don't have to do that... it's your office; that's your space I-
Usagi: Misaki, I want this desk, *he taps it* In my office, it's too big, there's a lot of room now since I moved the bookcase beside my smaller desk, and the couch against the window, your desk will fit in there.
Misaki: Are you sure? I don't want to intrude.
Usagi: *Rolls eyes* Stop. Plus, we're going to be sharing an office at our new place anyway, so what's the difference?
Misaki: Do you ever think we spend too much time together?
Usagi: Um, no? don't you remember when we were apart for a week, or even a few hours, how that felt?
Misaki: Yeah, it sucked.
Usagi: If we need time alone, it's not like we can't tell each other.
Misaki: I know. Uh, anyway, we can worry about my desk another day, we're getting way off-topic here. Do you want to look at your schedule for this week? *Hands him this week's agenda*
Usagi: Wow, busy week, huh?
Misaki: Yeah, that's why I'm giving you your schedule week by week, and not showing you the full month. I think you might pass out if you saw what I had written for the month.
Usagi: *Laughs* Well, on the plus side it's still Sunday, and early at that.
Misaki: Yeah, *stands* Want to go make breakfast?
Usagi: We could go out instead?
Misaki: Well, we are running low on food, and we don't go to the store until tomorrow...
Usagi: *Grins* So?
Misaki: I guess, but I need to shower first.
Usagi: Can I come?
Misaki: *Laughs, wraps arms around Usagi's neck* Usagi, I love you so much.
Usagi: *Puffs lips out*
Misaki: Don't give me that look, sweets, I just need to take a shower, and if we take one together, it won't be quick.
Usagi: Okay, hey um I'm going to grab some coffee, it smells great.
Misaki: Okay, I'll be down soon. *Kisses Usagi's nose*
Usagi: It's chilly out so wear something warm.
Misaki: Yeah, I know. *Smiles* Thank you.
Usagi and Misaki sat in their regular booth at their favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant near where the house was being built; they haven't been there in over a month due to being out of town, but they were happy to be back.
Misaki: Hey, so should we get our usual?
Usagi: *Flips through the menu in front of him* I can't believe we've been gone a month. They've updated the menu. Look, they have lemon poppy seed pancakes now; and honey maple bacon. *Smiles at Misaki, taking his hand* Want to share that?
Misaki: Sounds good.
Cherry: Hey ya'll, *Leans against both* Haven't seen you boys here in a while, what've been up to?
Usagi: Hey Cherry, my love here graduated at the end of March, and I took him on a trip, then we were celebrating our anniversary.
Cherry: Congratulations on graduating Misaki, and the anniversary; how many years have Y'all been together?
Usagi: Five years. *Grins at Misaki, squeezing his hand tighter*
Cherry: Long time.
Misaki: *Blushes* Yeah.
Cherry: So, what can I get started for ya?
Usagi: We're going to share the lemon poppy seed pancakes and honey maple bacon.
Misaki: Two glasses of orange juice, and coffee as well.
Cherry: Alright, I'll have your drinks right out, and your food should be out in about fifteen minutes.
Usagi: Thanks, Cherry.
Cherry: Sure.
Misaki: *Blushes*
Usagi: What's wrong?
Misaki: Why did you have to tell her where we were?
Usagi: She asked, why did it embarrass you?
Misaki: It just did. I don't know. *Plays with his necklace* Usagi?
Usagi: What it is, baby?
Misaki: I was wondering, um, why do you wear your vest and tie so much? Like even if you don't have meetings? Who are you trying to impress?
Usagi: You?
Misaki: *Snorts* Yeah right, you're dressed in joggers and a sweater right now.
Usagi: Can't I just look nice?
Misaki: Of course you can, but remember when you got out of the hospital, you said you were more comfortable when you were wearing casual clothes?
Usagi: Yeah, and it's true. I haven't worn my vest and ties since, but I will when we start meetings again.
Misaki: you know, when you do your book tour, it's your tour, you can wear what you want, who cares what you look like?
Usagi: I want to look nice though.
Misaki: I know but, you can look nice and be comfortable.
Usagi: Yeah.
Cherry: Hey ya'll, here's your drink, sorry for the wait, had to brew some fresh coffee, and your food should be right up. *Places their drinks on the table*
Misaki: Thank you, Cherry.
Cherry: You got it, I'll be right back with your food.
Usagi: Thanks.
Misaki: Anyway, we don't have to think about that right now. We have two weeks. You could get a sweater vest, you'd look great in one.
Usagi: No offense hon, but that's more your style, and I'd never wear that.
Misaki: What's wrong with my style?
Usagi: *Grins* You're so cute.
Misaki: You're ignoring my question.
Usagi: It's gotten better.
Misaki: Okay, Tie man. *Rolls eyes* Remember when you called me ugly? This is the same thing.
Usagi: I can't believe we're having this conversation again, you're so sexy Misaki, and amazing, you make my heart skip so quick every time I look at you or touch you; I love you so much. *Takes Misaki's hand* I'm sorry I told you that a while ago, but why didn't you say anything then?
Misaki: I know it's true. I'm not attractive, not like you. *Pulls hand away*
Usagi: That has to stop, stop comparing yourself to me; it happens every once in a while and I don't know why.
Misaki: I mean, look at you, you're sexy, and you will defiantly have perfect eggs for the IVF-
Usagi: That's not true, yours might be the perfect ones.
Misaki: Look, Usagi, I just want you to know that I love you, and I don't always feel this way. It's just today I'm... *sighs* In a mood. I'll get over it, I'm okay. I love you.
Usagi: Something else is bugging you, what is it?
Misaki: This is about me feeling like I'm nothing compared to you.
Usagi: I figured.
Misaki: This is about me starting as your assistant tomorrow. I'm nervous.
Usagi: I know.
Misaki: I'm sorry, I should've told you straight up instead of covering.
Usagi: But, some part of you feels like you're nothing compared to me, or else you wouldn't have said it.
Misaki: A little of me, but I know you how much you love me. You make me feel so special, even when I don't feel like much, thank you.
Usagi: I love you too, Misaki You make me feel so happy, I was really lonely before we met, and I know you know, I still have those feelings sometimes.
Misaki: *Nods, takes a sip of coffee, then takes Usagi's hand* Yeah, I do.
Usagi: Thank you for making me feel not so lonely.
Misaki: Anytime. *Smirks*
Usagi: What is it?
Misaki: We should eat. The food is getting cold.
Usagi: Yeah, *Clears throat*, enough of this sad talk.
The two smile at each other, digging into their meal, changing the subject, talking about happier things.
Misaki walks the streets of downtown Tokyo for about an hour until he comes across a shop that has the perfect gift for their anniversary. He grins, rushing into the shop to pick out the gift; as he exits, his phone rings, it's Usagi.
Usagi: Hey Hon, where are you?
Misaki: I'm on my way home, heading to the train station. Should be there in about fifteen minutes.
Usagi: Okay, well hurry, our reservations are in an hour.
Misaki: An hour?!
Usagi: I'm sorry! That's the best I could do.
Misaki: *checks watch* I'll be there as soon as I can.
Usagi: Okay, I'll see you soon.
Misaki: Okay. I love you.
Usagi: I love you too, baby.
Usagi hangs up, straightening his tie, grinning once satisfied. He wore a black suit and a blue tie. He thought he looked perfect but was always nervous going on dates with Misaki. This one was different, though. This was their fifth anniversary, and he felt like he was going to puke. Misaki walks in the door grinning, placing his bag on the couch.
Misaki: *Calling out* Hey Usagi! You upstairs?
Usagi: *Walking down the stairs with a grin* Hey!
Misaki: *Smirks, meeting Usagi at the bottom of the steps* Hey.
*Misaki quickly kisses the older man, taking him in. He grins, wrapping his arms around him. Misaki hugs him tighter, taking in the older man's scent. He loved him so much.*
Usagi: *Chuckles* Hi Baby, you okay?
Misaki: *Nodding against Usagi*, Yeah, you smell good.
Usagi: I showered, might be why.
Misaki: Heh. *Pulls away*, Alright, we'll I need to shower then, I won't be that long.
Usagi: *Places hand on Misaki's face, softy rubbing his cheek with his thumb* Okay. *Stares intensely at the younger man*
Misaki: *Blushing* W-what, what is it?
Usagi: Nothing, it's just, I love you.
Misaki: *Looks down* I love you too. I- um, I'm going to go shower. *Brushes past Usagi, heading up the stairs*
Usagi: Hey, M-Misaki?
Misaki: *Stops, turns to face Usagi* Yeah?
Usagi: I wasn't sure what suit you wanted to wear, so I laid out the one from your graduation, and that grey one you wore to the wedding we went to a few months ago.
Misaki: *Grins* Thank you, but I have a novel idea in mind.
Usagi: *smirks* Novel?
Misaki: *Shut up* I'm going to shower. I'll be back in twenty minutes.
*Misaki paused, rummaging through the closet he now shared with Usagi. Where was that suit? It's been so many years since he wore it, but he knew he brought it in here at one point. Nothing was in his old room now except his bed and a computer that he used sometimes; it mostly served as a guest room now. Misaki walked to the closet, searching through all the suits that were hanging. He grinned, shaking his head; they had way too many. The young man smiled when he found the Grey suit with the pink collared shirt. Finally, he found it; now only if he could find the purple tie.*
*Usagi sat on the couch, nervously flipping through channels. He didn't want to be late, but more than that, he wanted to enjoy a nice proper dinner for their fifth anniversary. They enjoyed their trip, but since it rained so much, the two of them felt like they needed a proper date to celebrate*
Misaki: Usagi?
*The younger man strolled down the stairs, walking over to Usagi. Standing, he grinned at Misaki, looking at him, gasping.*
Usagi: Wait, Misaki, this is the suit I bought you when we had our first date.
Misaki: Um, *rubs neck* Yeah, you know, I just thought it would be perfect. I think we should go, though. I don't want to be late.
Usagi: Yeah, you ready?
Misaki: I am. I just need to grab something from my bag.
Usagi: Okay.
*Usagi Smiled staring at the menu, the two made it just in time, their table overlooked the lights of the city it was pure beauty. Misaki Grinned grabbing Usagi's hand causing him to blush slightly*
Usagi: Misaki, You're cute.
Misaki: *Chuckles* Thanks, babe. Is there anything sticking out to you?
Usagi: I was thinking we could share the roasted duck unless you want something else?
Misaki: I was thinking the duck too, the manganji hotpepper sounds amazing.
Usagi: Okay, do you want white or red wine?
Misaki: You pick, you know what's the best.
Usagi: Okay, well the 2018 Alsimy Sauvignon Blanc is fantastic, we can get that.
Misaki: Perfect.
*The two order Enjoying an amazing meal, under the ambiance of the lights, the food, and each other's company. Misaki Smirks Wiping sauce off Usagi's face, then licking it from his thumb*
Usagi: *Chuckles* That brings back memories.
Misaki: I can't believe that was five years ago.
Usagi: Still as cute as ever.
Misaki: *blushes* Stop it. Oh, before I forget. *Pulls Box out of Jacket pocket* I got you something, Happy Anniversary Usagi.
*Misaki sets the box on the table Usagi grins, wiping his face off. He runs his hand over the box, grinning at Misaki. He opens the box, inside sit two dragon claw marble necklaces. One has a green marble, the other is purple. Usagi gives Misaki a look of confusion*
Usagi: I don't get it.
Misaki: Ah, well we, when we went on my birthday trip I got the jar of marbles, and we both made three wishes. I always thought the last one was most important.
Usagi: Yeah, Mine was "I hope I can be with Misaki Forever"
Misaki: Yeah, I remember. I never told you what mine was, but it was the same as yours " I hope I can be with Usagi-san forever"
Usagi: *Blushes* Really?
Misaki: Yeah, it always embarrassed me to tell you. Uh, anyway, a little while ago, after we told Nii-chan about us, I found them again. I made the wish to be with you forever and ever, with all my heart. So when I was trying to find the best gift, I thought of Marbles, or rather, these necklaces, so we can hold on to the wishes we made. *Shakes head* I know it's dumb.
Usagi: *Grabs Misaki's hand* Misaki, I love it. *Picks hand up, kisses knuckles* It's perfect.
Misaki: Oh, um, the greens yours, it matches my eyes, and the purples mine.
Usagi: I figured.
Misaki: I uh, know we rarely wear jewelry except for our engagement rings, but-
Usagi: Misaki, stop. I love it.
Misaki: Okay. Um, can I put yours on?
Usagi: Yeah. *grins*
*Misaki stands, walks around to Usagi, he gently takes out the necklace, then places it on Usagi's neck. Misaki grins, he softy kisses Usagi's neck then touches the marble, it shines in the light*
Misaki: It's perfect.
Usagi: I need to put on yours.
Misaki: Of course.
*Misaki leans against the table as Usagi places the necklace on his neck, Usagi leans forward softly kissing his lips, the taste spicy from the duck sauce, but sweet from the wine*
Usagi: let's get out of here. *He smiles, rubbing Misaki's legs*
Misaki: We need to pay.
Usagi: You know what I mean.
Misaki: *Rolls eyes* Where are we staying tonight?
Usagi: The prince park, I choose a room with the view of the tower, access to the bar, a nice tub, HUGE bed an-
Misaki: You spent a lot of money on the room deduct?
Usagi: Not a lot of money...
Misaki: You're crazy.
Usagi: *taps Misakis nose* You love me.
Misaki: I need you to save money. What are we going to do for our wedding? And then when we start the process for surrogacy? That's not cheap.
Usagi: It'll be okay, I have savings for that stuff. Misaki, I- I have an extra account for this stuff, the fun stuff. Our house expenses, the house we're building, the wedding, the future... all of that, I have another account for that. I promise you don't need to worry.
Misaki: Really?
Usagi: Really. *Kisses Misaki's cheek* Do you want anything else before we leave?
Misaki: No.
Usagi: Alright, let's see about getting out of here.
Misaki: *Smiles* Alright
*Misaki walked into the room, stunned. It was beautiful; the tower looked amazing at night. They had such a close view of it; the bathroom was enormous, so was the bed. The room had a small minibar and a small lounge area. There was a tv perfectly placed so they could watch tv in the lounge area or relaxing in bed. Misaki walked to the window taking in the view, Usagi smiled walking up behind him wrapping his arms around the smaller man's waist; he gently kissed his neck, resting his chin on his shoulder. Miksik smiled at him through the window, placing his arms on the older man, their rings, and necklaces reflecting off the city lights*
Usagi: Do you want to go to the Executive lounge for a drink*?
Misaki: *Grins* Executive lounge? sounds fancy.
Usagi: Oh, it is. *Raises an eyebrow*
Misaki: *Turns to look at Usagi, grins at him, wrapping his arms around his neck* Why is it so fancy? Wait, let me guess because only people who have these rooms have access to it?
Usagi: Yeah, wanna go?
Misaki: Yes, but only for one drink. *Smirks* I want to enjoy this room while we have it.
Usagi: Well, I can book an extra night.
Misaki: NO! that's not at all what I meant.
Usagi: I-
Misaki: Let's go.
*Misaki grabs Usagi's hand, they head down to the bar where Misaki orders a Saketini and Usagi orders a whiskey sour; he insists they get cocktails*
Misaki: Um, Usagi? *He sits across from the older man, sipping on his cocktail, he's nervous, but Usagi can't read him this time*
Usagi: What's wrong? *He places his drink on the table, giving Misaki a loving look*
Misaki: Um, when we first met, do you remember how we like hated each other?
Usagi: *nods sadly* Yeah, I do.
Misaki: Well, a few months into that, the more we started to, uh, hang out and spend time with each other, the more I started to kinda have feelings for you.
Usagi: *Smirks* Really? Why didn't you tell me?
Misaki: Well, first, you were in love with my brother? But more than that, I-I didn't think it was okay for me to be in love with you or have feelings for any man. I mean, when we first starting dating and having sex; I was kinda, how do I say it? Not opposed, obviously, but I didn't know how to react or deal with all the feelings I had for you. I called you a lot of mean, rude names that I didn't mean; I'm sorry Usagi. Also, you need to know how much I've always loved you, even if I could never express it clearly. It was hard for me sometimes, but I've always felt a great deal of love for you, even more now, I just wanted you to know.
*Usagi is smiling. He's clearly holding back tears. Picking up his drink, he stands, walks, and sits beside Misaki, takes his hand, strokes the back with his thumb. The older man smiles, kissing the younger man gently on his cheek.*
Usagi: Misaki, I um, I knew how much you loved me, I've always known. *Clears throat* As for names that you called me? That's in the past, and I understand why. I know that it's hard to come to terms with who you are. I also need you to know, that night when you cried for me, I fell in love with you, but not just because I allowed myself to be vulnerable, but because you somehow understood? But I guess it's because you had those feelings for me?
Misaki: *Wipes tears* Um, yeah I guess, when we first were dating, I was upset because I didn't understand how you could fall for me so fast?
Usagi: I knew that at some point, I had to let go of the feelings I had for Takahiro, so when I realized I could show verbality in front of you, something I've never done in my life, I knew I found what being in love meant, you've shown me that night that I could be open and honest with my emotions. *Smiles* I couldn't do that with anyone but you, so thank you for showing me what true love is.
Misaki: I, you've shown me what true love is. Usagi, you're my first love, you know? I don't think I've ever felt for anyone; I haven't had like crushes. I know you get jealous sometimes, but thank you for always being so protective of me, even if I complain, I appreciate it.
Usagi: I know that.
*Usagi picks up Misaki's hands, locking their fingers together. He smiles at the younger man. The two finish their drink, then head back to the room. They decide to a bath in the hot tub. Misaki wants to wash Usagi for a change since he doesn't get too often*
Misaki: Stay still, let me wash your hair.
Usagi: *Grinning, trying to snuggle against Misaki* I want to do this.
Misaki: You have suds in your hair. Can I finish? *Misaki places Usagi's head under the water, rinsing his hair off, he lifts Usagi's head inspecting to make sure all the suds are gone, smiles; then wraps his arms around Usagi.* Now I'm done. Are you happy?
Usagi: What about you?
Misaki: I showed before we went to eat.
*Usagi turns to bring Misaki into him. The older man rubs his thumb over Misaki's lips, then brings his chin up to his lips, softly kissing him. He pulls back, smiling at the younger man, who gives him a loving but seductive look.*
Usagi: What?
Misaki: Nothing, it's just, Happy anniversary.
Usagi: You know, it's not technically our anniversary anymore?
Misaki: *Shoves Usagi* Shut up, way to ruin a moment. *Gets out of the tub*
Usagi: Hey, come on, where are you going?
Misaki: To bed.
Usagi: Fun bed or?
Misaki: *Rolls eyes*
*Misaki lies on Usagi's chest, the two are in bed talking about moments they've shared in the past five years; Usagi is caressing Misakis' hair; the city lights are shining in the bedroom, giving off a warm glow.*
Misaki: I think when I went to visit my brother in Osaka was when I was felt nervous about our relationship; leaving that week hurt.
Usagi: I know, I felt the same. I couldn't think of anything but you.
Misaki: When you came to get me, I was happy but embarrassed. *Grins* You came three hours for me, and we spent the night in the sleeping car. I loved it.
Usagi: *Chuckles* Your first birthday we spent together.
Misaki: It was also your first real trip.
Usagi: *Smiles, squeezes Misaki* it thrilled me to be with you.
Misaki: I was happy too. I still have all the pictures saved on my laptop. You held my hand in public for the first time. I remember how it felt when I tried to tell you I loved you, I couldn't say it, and then when I could, I was so happy when I could tell you. I know there have been and will be people who like me or you but, the difference is, you're the love of my life Usagi, and you always will be.
Usagi: You're the love of my life Misaki, I love you so much.
*Misaki Grins; slowly traces kisses down Usagi's chest, causing the older man to moan slightly. He glances up at Usagi, then makes his way back up to his neck, placing gentle kisses on his collarbone. Misaki Smiles Climbing on Usagi, wrapping his legs around his hips, the younger man grins at the older man below him. He pushes Usagi's soft hair back, the smell of shampoo filling the air.*
Usagi: I love you so much, baby.
Misaki: I love you too.
*Usagi grins, taking Misaki's head, pulling it towards him. Softly he bites Misakis's lip, using his tongue to find a way in. The kisses are sweet from the cocktails they had earlier, their tongues softly dancing with each other. The two pull away, searching for air. Usagi smiles at the younger man, rubbing his back, gently kissing his nipples.*
Misaki: Usa- Usagi?
Usagi: *Pulls away from Misaki's hard nipples, smiling gently at the young man* What's wrong? Are you okay?
Misaki: *Nods* I want to be in you.
Usagi: Okay.
*Misaki sat up while Usagi turned. He still got nervous when entering Usagi. The younger man gently kissed Usagi's lower back, then slowly made his way inside. He heard Usagi gasped as Misaki thrust himself inside the older man, until they both came together, clasping on the bed out of breath. Usagi took Misaki, wrapping himself around the smaller man. Misaki smiled, as Usagi's scent wrapped around them like a warm blanket.*
Usagi: *Running his fingers through Misaki's hair* Misaki?
Misaki: Yeah.
Usagi: Are you okay?
Misaki: Perfect, are you okay?
Usagi: I am. I can't believe we've been together for five years.
Misaki: We've been through a lot, huh?
Usagi: We have.
Misaki: I remember when I didn't read any of your books.
Usagi: *Laughs* Where did that come from?
Misaki: *Looks up at Usagi* It's just now I've read all of them, and I'm going to be your assistant starting next week.
Usagi: Ugh, is next week already the begging of May?
Misaki: Well, we went on a trip for like three weeks. We left on the day of my graduation.
Usagi: We came home early though.
Misaki: It's the twenty-fourth of April. May is next Sunday.
Usagi: So we still have a few days to do this?
Misaki: *Reaches up, gently rubs Usagi's Chin* We have the rest of our lives to do this.
(Misaki sat beside Usagi at the good morning hotel for breakfast. They wanted to sit outside so they could see the ocean. Today was going to be a beautiful day, so they wanted to spend as much time as they could outside).
Usagi: What do you want to eat?
Misaki: Um, I'm not that hungry, so we can just share something.
Usagi: Okay, I was just thinking Okonomiyaki, Tamagoyaki, and rice.
Misaki: Okay, maybe some green tea as well?
Usagi:(Looks at Misaki, A concerned look growing on his face), Are you feeling okay?
Misaki: Yeah, I'm just tired.
Usagi: we'll, we can eat, then run back to the room and lay down.
Misaki: (Shakes his head), no, I want to hang out at the beach.
Usagi: Okay, are you sure?
Misaki: (Beams, placing his hand on Usagi's cheek). I'm positive, (he tenderly kisses his lips).
Usagi: Okay, I'm going to go in and order. (He stands kissing Misaki's head), I'll be right back.
Misaki: Alright. (He watches Usagi walk inside then, focuses on the waves crashing into the shore. It was still pretty early, so few people were out yet, mainly walking on the beach or picking up shells. Misaki wanted to get to the room so they could pack leftover snacks, drinks, and grab a nice private area).
Usagi: Here, (the older man grinned at Misaki, placing the tray of food on the table, then settled in place beside Misaki).
Misaki: Thank you, and thanks for placing the order.
Usagi: You're welcome. (He smiled and Misaki, pouring a cup of green tea for him, handing it to the younger man).
Misaki: I can pour my tea, Usagi, (he shot him a half-smile), thank you.
Usagi: You're welcome. You should eat, even if it's just a little.
Misaki: I will. (He dug into the rice, taking a few bites, had two Tamagoyaki, and a bite of Okonomiyaki. He sipped on his tea while watching the water).
Usagi: Do you want anything else to eat?
Misaki: I'm fine, you can have the rest.
Usagi: (He put his chopsticks down, wrapping his arm around Misaki's waist, pulling him closer.) Babe, what's on your mind?
Misaki: (Grinning at Usagi,) Nothing, I'm okay. I just want to get to the beach and relax, we've been here a week, and it's been raining the whole time, meaning we've been spending the first part of our trip inside watching movies and working on a puzzle. Today's the first nice day all week, and I want to spend it out there, with you.
Usagi: I know, I get it. We're going to go to the beach soon, but I wish you would eat some more.
Misaki: I (His phone rang. He gave Usagi a look, then pulled it out of his pocket. Eri was calling. It was odd for her to be calling at such an early time). Eri? what's up?
Eri: Put me on speaker, oh and by the way, I went to your house; you know, the one that's being built. Looks outstanding.
Misaki: (glances at Usagi, places the phone down, after putting it on speaker).
Usagi: Eri, what's going on?
Eri: I've been doing some research, and it turns out you don't need a certificate. Tokyo recognizes same-sex marriage now. Y'all still can't adopt, though.
Misaki: Well, that's amazing Eri, and that's for calling us about that now, but um, why couldn't it wait till we got back home?
Usagi: Yeah, we love you, and this is, (grins at Misaki), Fantastic news, but it could've waited.
Eri: I thought you guys would've been happier.
Misaki: We're thrilled.
Usagi: Of course, but...
Misaki: we will be more thrilled when we're back home and-
Usagi: not on vacation.
Eri: Oh, is this a bad time?
Misaki: (Smirks at Usagi), Kinda.
Eri: Oh, sorry. I'll talk to you guys later. Bye.
Misaki: (Grins, throwing his arms around Usagi). Usagi! we can get legally married!
Usagi: I know! We're going to be officially husbands.
Misaki: Wow! I (He sighed, sliding his hands down Usagi's arms, taking his hands). Did you ever think this would be real? Like really real?
Usagi: No, not for a while.
Misaki: Suddenly, I'm hungry. (He smiled, scarfing down the rest of the rice). Hey, let's go back to the room.
Usagi: For sex?
Misaki: NO!, to pack, then go to the beach.
Usagi: Can we have sex on the beach?
Misaki: Absolutely not! This is not a private beach.
Usagi: What if we find a super private spot?
Misaki: (Stands taking Usagi's hand), Um we can cuddle.
Usagi: I'm so getting a private beach next time.
Misaki: I Don't know, (the two walked back to their room), even if we had our own beach, does sex on the beach sound sexy to you? I mean, sand everywhere, in different places?
Usagi: You can put a blanket down, I guess just the thought of being outside, hearing the waves crash is kind of thrilling?
Misaki: I guess I can get that.
(Usagi smiled, unlocking the door to their room. They changed into their suits, packed a few drinks, snacks, and their towels, and headed to the beach).
Misaki: I like this spot.
(After walking for a bit, they found a spot that would give off shade. It would be cool all day. There were rocks around, making it semi-private, but not private enough. Their space was kinda hidden so people wouldn't bother coming back here, but Usagi wouldn't get his wish. Misaki would get his wish. He wanted to spend the day on the beach cuddling and playing in the water with Usagi until their cheeks were red.
Usagi: (Grins, placing a huge towel down, he sits on it pulling Misaki on his lap, wrapping his arms around the smaller man). Is this what you wanted? (He whispers seductively into his ear, sending a chill down Misakis spine).
Misaki: actually, it is. (the younger man smiled, placing a kiss on Usagi's cheek). Hey, can you put sunscreen on my back?
Usagi: (Grins), Gladly. (Reaching into the bag, he pulls out the tube of sunscreen, placing the cream on his hands, he rubs it onto Misaki's back, getting every spot. Usagi grins then places more on his hands, rubbing Misaki's chest, he then plays with Misaki's nipples, causing him to moan).
Misaki: Usagi, (He softly moaned the older man's name, as he pushed his hands away). Stop. (Turning to face him, he grinned), That's not what I meant when I asked you to put on my sunscreen.
Usagi: Well, to be fair, you weren't very specific.
Misaki: (Rolls his eyes, turns his body around so his full facing Usagi, he wraps his arms around the older man's neck running his hand through his silver hair). We'll there's not a lot of ways to put on sunscreen. (He grins, taking the tube from Usagi). Let me put yours on now.
Usagi: I don't need any.
Misaki: Yes, you do. (Misaki sighed, rubbing sunscreen on Usagi's chest and back, then on his arms). There you're covered.
Usagi: I can get my own arms, plus you didn't let me do yours.
Misaki: (while rubbing his arms), You would've lingered.
Usagi: NOT ME.
Misaki: (Pulls away from Usagi), Babe, it's you. (He slides off of Usagi, settling beside him). Usagi?
Usagi: (Looks at Misaki placing his hand on his thigh). Yeah?
Misaki: I know it's kind of soon, and we're still on this vacation... we don't even have a date set and-
Usagi: (Grins, grabs Misaki's hand), What's on your mind hon?
Misaki: (Looks up at Usagi), Right sorry, Um do you remember when we had our first date?
Usagi: Vaguely? (Chuckles).
Misaki: (Shoves him): You said one day you wanted to take me to England.
Usagi: And I still do.
Misaki: Can we go on our honeymoon?
Usagi: Of course we can. What made you think of it?
Misaki: I guess I've been thinking about it for a while now.
Usagi: Okay, well I'll make a plan for us.
Misaki: Okay.
Usagi: Do you want to go into the water?
Misaki: (Shrugs), Maybe soon. (He pushes Usagi down, crawling on him, settling on his chest), I want to stay here for a bit.
Usagi: (Smiles, wraps his arms around the younger man). We can do that.
(Usagi Carefully applied more sunscreen to Misaki's back. He didn't want to wake the sleeping man; he figured that once Misaki got comfortable, he would fall asleep. Misaki stirred at Usagi's touch. He grinned, looking up at Usagi, cheeks were red from the sun).
Misaki: (groggily) Hi.
Usagi: (Brushing sweaty hair out of Misaki's face), Hi, I didn't mean to wake you, it's just you were out for almost an hour, so I wanted to make sure you didn't burn.
Misaki: (Sits up, rolling onto the towel), Thank you.
Usagi: You're welcome, are you rested?
Misaki: I am.
Usagi: Sall we go into the water?
Misaki: Yeah.
Usagi: (Stands, looks down at Misaki who has his arms outstretched). What?
Misaki: (He grins, wiggling his fingers).
Usagi: Do you want a piggyback ride?
Misaki: I do.
Usagi: (Leans down, while Misaki hops on his back).
Misaki: Did you re-apply sunscreen?
Usagi: I did.
(Usagi adjusted Misaki's legs as the two walked in silence down to the beach. The water was cool against his legs. He walked down; the water was at his knees, then sat Misaki in the water beside him. The water almost came up the Misaki's hips. He turned to look at Usagi).
Misaki: Do you want to go out further?
Usagi: We could, the water is rough right now though, it could pull you under.
Misaki: (Crossing his arms), I know how to swim.
Usagi: (Wrapping his arms around Misaki's neck), I know you do, and that's not my point. I'm just saying that you could get pulled under, if for the best swimmers.
Misaki: So, what should we do?
Usagi: We could ride the waves, or- (Usagi grinned splashing water at Misaki).
Misaki: Hey! Not fair! I wasn't ready! (He giggled, cupping water in his hands getting Usagi's face).
Usagi: (He wiped his face smiling at the smaller man, picking him up gently, dunking him in the water).
Misaki: (Screaming, he pops back up), HEY! I'm going to get pulled under if you do that!
Usagi: I didn't let go!
Misaki: (Laughing, he jumps on Usagi trying to push him into the water).
Usagi: You're not strong enough to get me in there!
Misaki: What's that supposed to mean?
Usagi: Just what I said.
Misaki: GET IN THE WATER! (He giggles, pushing on Usagi's head.
Usagi: Fine, (He drops down sitting in the water, so Misaki gets soaked).
Misaki: That's not fair! (Misaki leans forward, pulling Usagi's chest, finally getting the both of them soaked) I did it!
Usagi: (Pops up, shaking his head like a dog). Good job, baby.
Misaki: Thank you. (He stood up, offering a hand to Usagi).
Usagi: Thanks, (The younger man pulled him up grinning at Misaki).
Misaki: Okay, let's go have a snack.
Usagi: Sure.
(Usagi grabbed Misaki's hand the two walking back to their spot having a snack of green tea and Jagariko Yuzu pepper. After their snack, they re-applied sunscreen and laid back on their towel for a little while longer before deciding to head back to their room to go explore and find a place for lunch).
(Misaki, walked into their room fresh out of the shower, had a towel wrapped around his waist, Usagi sat on the sofa tieing his shoes, he looked up at Misaki from under his bangs giving him a sweet smile, he'd taken a shower first so he could find a place to eat.)
Usagi: Hey, (He pulled Misaki towards him, placing the smaller man on his lap, placing kisses up and down his neck, Misaki Giggled trying to pull away from him).
Misaki: Cut it out, I have to get dressed.
Usagi: (Smirks, places hands on Misaki's thighs), I found a place to eat. It's about eight minutes from here. The staff said they had a cat that could drive us.
Misaki: Okay. (He stands, walks over to his suitcase, pulls out a pair of boxers, khaki shorts, and a blue tank top). After we're done eating, maybe we should go to the mart near here and stock up on food again? (He pulls on his shorts and his top, then slips into his sandals).
Usagi: Sure, (Stands up, ruffles Misaki's hair then takes his hand), Ready?
Misaki: Yeah, where are we going?
Usagi: It's a sandwich place.
Misaki: Okay.
(Misaki and Usagi walked into Kua'aian, finding a booth near that sat against the window. The diver from the hotel said to call them when they were ready to be picked up, the two looked at the menu on the table in front of them, studying it briefly, then placed it back on the holder that sat on the table).
Misaki: Anything catching your eye?
Usagi: The pine burger, with um iced to drink. What about you?
Misaki: The hamburger and Coke to drink. I was also thinking we could get a couple of sandwiches and an extra-large fry to go, take it back to the room, then go back out to the mart?
Usagi: Sure? What sandwich did you have in mind?
Misaki: Something that would be fine if we had it cold.
Usagi: (Picks up the menu), The turkey, bacon one looks good for later.
Misaki: Okay.
(The two placed their orders, as well as to-go orders, got back to the hotel, went to the mart, then settled in for the night. They watched the news and realized it would rain for the rest of this week and next week, deciding to stay hunkered down for the rest of vacation, when they had one week left they went home early and check out the house, it was coming along nicely, and if everything went well, it would be done by October).
Misaki: (Leaning against Usagi, who had his arms wrapped around him). I can't believe we're going to have our own house soon.
Usagi: We have a house.
Misaki: (Scuffs), You know what I mean. They're already starting on the inside of the house.
Usagi: I'm so happy.
Misaki: (Grins, he could hear Usagi tearing up). I love you so much. (He turned to face him, placing a soft kiss on his lips). You know, we still have a few more days until vacation is officially over. (He ran his hand over Usagi's collar), What do you say, we go home and make use of our bath? I think it misses us?
Usagi: (Laughs), You think?
Misaki: Yeah.
Usagi: Well (He pulled Misaki tighter against him), I don't think we should leave it hanging for much longer.
Misaki: (Nods).
(The two giggle, pilling into their car to head home. It was great to have time away, but it felt nice to be back home, and their bath really missed them, of course).
(Misaki sat on the futon. They kept it as a sofa most days. It was the middle of the night, a few days into their vacation and he couldn't sleep, so he was flipping through channels, finally landing a dumb cartoon, and snacks on some chips).
Usagi: Misaki? (He sauntered down the stairs, not wanting to scare him).
Misaki: Oh, hi. (He smiled at him).
Usagi: (Walks over to him carefully sitting on the couch). Hi, Can't sleep?
Misaki: (Shakes head), Sorry.
Usagi: Why are you apologizing?
Misaki: Because I know you worry when you wake up and I'm not there.
Usagi: (Wraps arm around Misaki, pulling him close), It's okay. Are you okay?
Misaki: Yeah. (Looks at Usagi), Are you?
Usagi: I am. Oh, Eri called.
Misaki: When?
Usagi: (Plays with a stand of Misaki's hair), When you were sleeping, she said that she won't be able to make it. Rose has to work, so they'll just stay in Tokyo.
Misaki: That's too bad. It's nice of her to watch our house, though.
Usagi: That was another reason. She wanted to monitor the house.
Misaki: (Nods)
Usagi: Are you sure you're okay? You seem down.
Misaki: Yeah, (Smiles up at Usagi), I promise.
Usagi: Okay.
Misaki: (lays down on Usagi's laps), Usagi?
Usagi: (Looking down, smiling). Yeah?
Misaki: (Picks up Usagi's hand, lacing fingers together), I love you so fucking much.
Usagi: (Kisses Misaki's hand on his engagement ring), I love you too.
Misaki: It's getting late.
Usagi: (Chuckles), more like early, the suns coming up.
Misaki: Want to go for a walk?
Usagi: Sunrise beach walk? Sure. I know we've been wanting to do that since we've got here, but...
Misaki: We haven't gotten up in time.
Usagi: Well, we're both up now.
Misaki: Let's go. (Grins runs his hand over Usagi's bare chest).
Usagi: (Smiles), are we okay to go like this?
Misaki: Of course, are you ready?
Usagi: Yeah, let's go.
(Usagi and Misaki held hands, smiling and grinning at each other from time to time. The Sun was rising; the breeze felt nice, no one was out, the perfect time to be here).
Usagi: What do you want to do today?
Misaki: I don't know. I mean, we haven't really spent a lot of time on the beach.
Usagi: We've been here for almost a week, and it's been raining, we've had to spend a lot of time inside.
Misaki: (Grins). Well, that wasn't too bad.
Usagi: heh, I love spending time inside you.
Misaki: (Blushing), Stop! That's embarrassing!
Usagi: For who?
Misaki: (Stops walking, turns to look at Usagi), Well- I mean, how can you say stuff like that?
Usagi: (Wraps arms around Misaki), Hey it's easy to say...but I mean it, it's a little embarrassing.
Misaki: Well-then why do you say it?
Usagi: Your reaction is adorable.
Misaki: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Usagi: (Places forehead against Misaki's), It just means, it's cute to how you're going to react, but I do like saying it.
Misaki: It's cheesy.
Usagi: Have you met me?
Misaki: (Blushes), it-it.
Usagi: (Places lips against Misaki's) Misaki, I love you, (Soft kiss), and I'm going to keep being cheesy and if it's embarrassing for you, I'm sorry, but I can't help when it comes to you.
(Another soft kiss, Misaki, pulls Usagi closer to deepen the kiss. He loves this man so much, even though he can be annoying and embarrassing with his cheesy remarks, it makes him fall in love even more).
Usagi: (Pulls away), Come on, let's go.
Misaki: Where?
Usagi: Anywhere, we have all the time in the world.
(Misaki paces around the kitchen, it's the last week of their vacation and he's freaking out. Usagi walks downstairs grasping his arms, causing him to stop. The look of worry on the younger man's face gives Usagi a moment to think nothing should cause him to panic like this. They just got back from their anniversary/graduation trip. What could be going on?)
Usagi: Whoa what's happening?
Misaki: I'm so sorry!
Usagi: (Chuckles) Why
Misaki: I missed our anniversary! I didn't get you anything!
Usagi: (Pulls arms arm), Um, Babe. What do you think that trip was?
Misaki: (Gives Usagi a knowing look), To celebrate my graduation.
Usagi: Right, but also our Anniversary! we've been together five years as of the day you Graduated, did you forget?
Misaki: Kinda. (Groans), I- there was a to going on that day. Plus, (Sits on counter) I don't remember you saying "Happy anniversary either" did you forget?
Usagi: (Sighs, runs hands on Misaki's thighs) It might've slipped my mind.
Misaki: (Wraps arms around Usagi's Neck) I guess we both suck.
Usagi: (Pulls away suddenly) Wait, I guess we need to go out and celebrate.
Misaki. (Mocking Usagi). Wasn't that the point of the trip?
Usagi: Shut up. But yes, and also no.
Misaki: (Rolls eyes) You need to stay off the internet. (Misaki wraps his legs around Usagi, stroking his face). Where should we go for dinner?
Usagi: Somewhere different? Wait, I know, (He grins broadly), We could go to the "Monna Lisa"
Misaki: (Grins), Wow, French food?
Usagi: Are you okay with that?
Misaki: (Adjust his legs, pulling Usagi tighter against his body). Well, it's expensive, and we just got back from a really enjoyable trip.
Usagi: So? We're re-celebrating our Anniversary, it's important. (He grinned, placing quick, soft kisses all over Misaki's neck).
Misaki: (Giggles), Alright.
Usagi: I'll make a reservation.
Misaki: Okay.
(Usagi tried to walk away but Misaki clung to him. He grinned at the older man, his eyes sparking).
Usagi: I'll be back.
Misaki: Fine. (The younger man let go, as Usagi placed a kiss on his hand).
Usagi: Don't move.
(Misaki Grinned watching the older man walk upstairs to his office. He let out a small sigh, pulling his legs up on the counter. Usagi always made their reservations in private, mostly because he includes extra stuff that Misaki would be upset about later. He always spent way too much on them, but he knew it was to make every moment the best it could be. Misaki wanted to put money away for their wedding, and he hoped Usagi did that as well. He promised he would, although he still spent as much as always. At the moment he was just happy to enjoy their Anniversary, which reminded him)...
Misaki: USAGI! I'LL BE BACK, I NEED TO RUN OUT FOR SOMETHING!
(Misaki Kneeled in front of his parents grave, tightly holding Usagi's hand, even though his tie had just been fixed before they left they house, it was somehow already crooked. He had no idea what to say, should he start by apologizing that he hadn't been to visit in the last fourteen years? Or introduce Usagi first like it's just a normal conversation.)
Misaki: (lets out a long sigh, Usagi Squeezing his hand for encouragement). Uh, hey mom, dad. This feels weird, I know I never really came to visit, mostly because for the longest time I thought your death was my fault, a-a-and I know that sounds dumb but it's true, so I never came, I'm here today because I lot is happening. I'm graduating!, I'm also getting married, to this guy. He's the love of my life, if you guys we're alive I'd think you'd love him. (He smiled gently at Usagi), His name is Akihiko Usami, but I call him Usagi. He's amazing, the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm so lucky to have him, I want you to meet him.
Usagi: Um hi, I don't know how to introduce myself, should I say Usagi? (He ducked his head), No that sounds weird, I'm Usami. Misaki says he's the best thing that's ever happened to him, but truthfully, he saved me, I would not be this person without him. Before we met I was kinda an awful person, I never let anyone in, I was a mess, I almost died a few times, I never ate properly, I never really opened myself up to anyone, I had al these walls up, then Misaki came and I was this a different person. (he chuckled softly), Some might say softer. Misaki is the only person I've truly felt combatable with, he's my soulmate and best friend, the best person you could ever ask for, he's doing okay, he's happy, I'm so grateful for him.
Misaki: (softly), Usagi... (He wrapped his arms around the older man, leaning into him), I love you.
Usagi: I love you too. Thank you for bringing me here.
Misaki: Thank you for coming.
Usagi: You're parents would be so proud of you.
Misaki: How do you know?
Usagi: Because I'm so proud of you, how could they not be.
Misaki: Thank you.
(They stayed there for a while, in a silent embrace paying their respects, Misaki was happy he decied to come, he needed it. He was so grateful to have this man in his life, and really needed the support today.)
Monday March 16, 2020... six days before graduation.
(Misaki woke up feeling beside him, the space was empty, he was confused, usually this early in the morning Usagi would still be asleep, he rubbed his eyes, blinked a few times then gave his eyes a few seconds to adjust to the light, turning his head towards the alarm clock he realized it was only eight am, yeah Usagi should definitely still be asleep).
Misaki: Usagi?! (He called loudly, his voice was groggy from just waking up)
Usagi: Good morning, (He smirked entering the room with a tray of breakfast consisting of coffee, eggs, hash browns, and bacon).
Misaki: (Smirks): What's all this?
Usagi: (Sitting on the bed carefully placing the tray between them, he hands Misaki the cup of coffee and places a kiss on his cheek). I made you breakfast.
Misaki: You didn't have to do that. (He takes a sip of coffee, the warmth wakes up his body, he smirks, taking Usagi's hand), You're amazing.
Usagi: I know it's not a trinational bra-
Misaki: Stop it, I love it. (He smiles, taking a bit of everything), It's great.
Usagi: I'm glad you think so.
Misaki: So why are you up so early?
Usagi: A man can't wake up early to make breakfast for his fiancé?
Misaki: (Smirks, giving him a knowing look).
Usagi: Um, Isaka called last night after you went to sleep-
Misaki: How rude, Doesn't he know not to call in the middle of the night?
Usagi: I agree, but he's my boss.
Misaki: He's your friend, and as your friend he should know not too.
Usagi: He wanted to talk to you, but I told him you were asleep.
Misaki: Why does he want to talk to me?
Usagi: He wants to have a meeting with you today about us, and you being my assistant.
Misaki: Um, why now? I'm not starting until like the begging of may.
Usagi: I don't know, but he want's to meet at noon, so eat up.
Misaki: I'm supposed to tell you to do that. You're still recovering you know.
Usagi: So, feed me.
Misaki: (Smirks, feeds Usagi a piece of bacon, the older boy takes his hand lacing his fingers through his, pulling him into a kiss, knocking the food on the bed). Usagi!
Usagi: We can clean it up. (He pulls Misaki on top of him, running his hands through his hair, they kiss passionately), Hey, (he pulls away breathing heard, pushing hair out of Misaki's face, (wanna take this to the shower?
Misaki: I don't know Usagi... (He trailed off, he Missed having Usagi inside off him, he missed being inside of Usagi, but they only had six more days till they could have sex again, surely they could wait it out right?)
Usagi: I know we have six more days till we can have sex again but.. I can help you shower right? (He grinned kissing Misaki's neck, the younger boy moaned.)
Misaki: Um, do you really think it's a good idea to show up to a meeting with love bites on my neck?
Usagi: That's okay, I can put them other places.
Misaki: We can shower together, but maybe nothing that will cause a delay in getting ready?
Usagi: Fine, (He sat, gently pushing Misaki to stand), But you owe me.
Misaki: (Grins leaning down), We have three whole weeks alone once I graduate, that trip you planned, I know where it is by the way, not in Tokyo, we'll have plenty of time to do other things.
Usagi: (Wraps his arms around Misaki's neck), Good, and we are never leaving the bedroom.
Misaki: Okay. (Kisses Usagi, then pulls him up leading him to the bathroom), Now help me wash my hair, I love when you do it.
Usagi: No problem.
(Misaki Stood outside Isaka's door he was nervous, he kept messing with his tie, it was crooked again. Usagi glanced at him, fixed his tie, and his hair).
Usagi: Sweetie, you have to relax, you already have the job, trust me, being my assent will be easier for everyone. (He kissed him softly on his forehead). Just go in, he's expecting you.
Misaki: You should come to, I'm sure he'd loved to see you.
Usagi: I can't help you with this one, he told me I wasn't allowed.
Misaki: (Sighs), Okay. I love you.
Usagi: And I love you. You're amazing, you can do this. I'm going to bug Eri.
Misaki: Leave her Alone.
Usagi: She loves me.
Misaki: Usagi-san!
Usagi: TOO LATE (at the elevator), I'm already here! Good luck! I believe in you!
Isaka: (Opens door): Misaki! (Hugs him tightly), Get in here! Lets talk.
Isaka: You already have the job, this is just a formality. No one wants to be his assistant.
Asahina: No one.
Misaki: (Angry): No one asked you lover boy.
Isaka: Things you can't do in public, Holding hands.
Misaki: What about y'all?
Isaka: You already know about us.
Misaki: When I start the Job, everyone will know the two of us are engaged.
Asahina: Fair point, even so, you can't be all over each other.
Isaka: Keep it professional.
Asahina: To be fair Isaka; If you had it your way, we would be all over each other at work, but you don't so.
Isaka: Anyway, Meetings, he still hates them.
Misaki: I know, but he has to have them, we need to keep them to an hour, book signings and releases should be at least an hour and half not all day events, although if I'm there we can probably get them for two hours, he won't do much more than that, even if I'm with him. Events that have to be longer, he would only do a day long event, no matter what, he hardly wants to be at my graduation, I don't even want to be there.
Isaka: What about b-
Misaki: Book tour? That's a joke.
(Isaka and Asahina glanced at each other, frowning).
Misaki: A BOOK TOUR? NO WAY WHY?
Isaka: He wrote four books, we want all of them out at the same time, we figu-
Misaki: Okay, some of those we're written under his pen name you can't-
Isaka: Maybe it's time for him to come clean about that.
Misaki: What?
Isaka: He came out, you guys are going to come out as a couple, I'm sure he'll be fine with it, plus he would probably make more money if people knew the books were about you two.
Misaki: The early ones weren't. He doesn't want my brother finding out about that. (Misaki blushed he was turning beat red, this was not happening).
Isaka: Him, or you? We'll just call him up here and ask... (He picked up the phone, dialing a number).
Eri: So have you guys deiced on a date?
Usagi: No, but Misaki knows how much I love Cherry blossoms so maybe in the spring, but also snow is important to us, so could be in the winter.
Eri: You can't plan that though.
Usagi: Doesn't matter, ever significant event in our lives happened when it was snowing, or snow started. It's fate.
Eri: (Smiles) Like you two.
Usagi: Exactly.
Eri: So d, (Her phone starts ringing) One sec, (She rolls her eyes), Its Isaka, (Picks the phone up), What? he is, we're busy, fine, he'll say no but I'll send him up anyway... Okay, Yeah we can do lunch, the five of us? you ask them. Bye Isaka. (Puts the phone back in the receiver, roiling her eyes), He's a pain in the ass.
Usagi: I know, what did he want?
Eri: He want's to talk to you, I told him you'd say no, but you should go up there anyway.
Usagi: What was his question?
Eri: (Sighing), I'd go find out.
Usagi: Okay. (Stands, leaning down to hug Eri).
Eri: Oh, and we're all having lunch together.
Usagi: Of course we are.
(Misaki taps his fingers in the desk, he can feel himself turning red by the second, when Usagi walks in and sits beside him he freezes, he hasn't felt like this around him in A long time).
Usagi: What's up?
Misaki: (Through gritted teeth), you don't want to know.
Isaka: How do you feel about doing a book tour?
Usagi: (Folds arms, leaning back in seat), I think you already Know the answer to that. What else?
Isaka: You're books about the two of, the ones under your pen name?
Usagi: Yeah, I know the ones? What about them?
Misaki: He want's you to say you're the one who wrote them.
Usagi: No, I can't do that, I don't want anyone to know I wrote the early ones.
Misaki: That's what I said.
Isaka: Like Misaki's brother?
Usagi: I can't ever let him know how I felt about him. If it was know I wrote those books, and thought about that... oh god (Places head in hands), and if I think about doing that stuff with Misaki.
Misaki: (Blushing harder)
Isaka: Wow, I didn't know you could turn that red.
Asahina: That is interesting.
Usagi: I can't do a book tour, two of the three books I wrote are the books about Misaki and I.
Isaka: But the other two aren't.
Misaki: He'll do a two month book tour with his books under his name.
Isaka: I think we can figure out a way to release the books under your pen name without any trouble.
Usagi: The scenes were Eri's ideas, most of them.
Misaki: My brother doesn't read that, but he will if he knows that you wrote them.
Isaka: Maybe we only print the new ones? Wipe the old ones out of exc-
Usagi: I'm telling you no!
Isaka: Some people already know, you kinda let it slip when you came out.
Usagi: I know, but I don't want anyone to know who doesn't already, plus I have the "All names are completely a coincidence"
Misaki: Yeah, right. We are going on tour with his two new books, "Beautifully drawing swords" and "Broken scars".
Isaka: Why are those titles so sad.
Misaki: A lot of his are, do you even read his books?
Usagi: The books aren't sad, "Broken scars" is-
Misaki: It's about two who are broken, they meet by chance after running away from home, fall in love and learn that broken people can heal scars.
Usagi: (Smiles) Yeah, You read the manuscript?
Misaki: Of course I did, Beautifully drawing swords was good too, more of a short story though, I wish it was longer.
Usagi: I wanted it to be, but the more I was writing it, the more I thought it worked better as a short story.
Isaka: What's that one about?
Misaki: A girl who collects swords finds a broken one a thrift shop, and makes it into a new one, she bonds with another girl across the street, and they talk about their sword collection, it's cute.
Isaka: Doesn't sound like something you'd usually write.
Usagi: I know, but I Got inspiration from a picture that Mahiro made, Eri thought it would sell, if she didn't I wouldn't have written it.
Misaki: I think kids will love it, and teens.
Isaka: I like it.
Usagi: You did agree to it.
Isaka: Did I?
Asahina: Yeah you did.
Isaka: Oh, well... it sounds sweet.
Misaki: I'm proud of him.
Isaka: You should be. Misaki, you're going to make a great assistant for him. No one can handle him like you, I mean I guess Eri, but you got him to write four books in two months, and all of them are amazing.
Misaki: (Shrugs), I don't know how.
Usagi: (Wraps his arms around Misaki), Because you're amazing, and I love you.
Misaki: I love you.
Isaka: What do you say we all go get lunch? Anyone up for pizza?
Asahina: Sure, call Eri, lets meet her in the lobby.
Misaki: Thanks for lunch Eri, (He hugged her tightly).
Eri: Anytime, hey so can I come hang out with yall later, Rose is working all week, and it's going to be lonely going home.
Usagi: Sure, but just for a bit, and you can't spend the night.
Isaka: (Laughs), Classic Usagi, not letting anyone in. (Points to Misaki), except Chibi here. (He pulls him into a hug. You're the only one.
Usagi: (Annoyed), Get off him.
Misaki: (Pushes Isaka off), Go hug your boyfriend.
Isaka: How did you do it.
Misaki: Even If I knew, I wouldn't tell you.
Usagi: (Takes Misaki's hand), No one can but him, and if we have kids.
Eri: You would spoil your kids, especially if you had a baby girl, Please have kids now!
Misaki: Can we finish building our house first? and get married?
Eri: (Clears throat), Oh yeah, sure. But after.
Misaki: You'd still want to be our surrogate right? because it might be hard japan stil-
Eri: Misaki, yes and don't worry, Rose said Ren can help, it's going to be okay.
Isaka: speaking of marriage, you guys still can't technically-
Usagi: We Know, Go to work, Asahina, take him upstairs.
Asahina: Got it, (Smirks), Pulling Isaka inside.
Isaka: HEY! YOU WORK FOR ME!
Asahina: (whispering) I'm the boss in this relationship.
Isaka: (Blushes).
Usagi: We know we need a Partnership certification.
Misaki: And that it doesn't grant us everything that a marriage would, but It's the best we can do right now.
Eri: When do you guys want to get married?
Misaki: (Grins), Winter, (He takes Usagi's hand), The snow is special to us.
Eri: You should get started now, at least looking at the documents, I heard it can take up to five moths. (Walks towards building). I'll email some information.
Misaki: (Siting on Usagi's lap, they are in his office on the couch, documents for the certificate in front of them. He sighs bowing air out), I didn't think it would be this much, we have to do this much!
Usagi: Yes. It doesn't change your mind, does it?
Misaki: (Turns to look at Usagi), What? Of course not, (He takes Usagi's face, rubbing his thumbs against his soft skin), No, it just means we have to look through all of this carefully, so we only have to do it once. If we start in August, we can have our certificate by December, maybe a little before. We'll also start the movie process by then, if we don't have any problems our house should be ready by the summer right?
Usagi: (He places his hands on Misaki's), Right, and by December we'll be moved in, we wanted to have a ceremony at our house anyway.
Misaki: Exactly It's perfect! (He grinned kissing Usagi hard), Now we need to put this in a safe place.
Usagi: I have just the spot. (He lifted Misaki, placing him beside him, stood up walked over to his desk. Opening a drawer in the bottom of his desk, he pulled out a binder marked wedding. He grinned hoping on the couch handing it to Misaki).
Misaki: Wedding?
Usagi: I've kinda been planning our wedding ever since you proposed.
Misaki: (Grins), Usagi, this is so sweet. (He holds the binder to his chest).
Usagi: Don't you want to look at it?
Misaki: Yeah, but I just remembered, I have to go get my graduation stuff, and the suit.
Usagi: Want me to come?
Misaki: Can you drop me off at the school?
Usagi: Yeah, and I can get our suits.
Misaki: Perfect. When we come we can look at the binder.
Usagi: (Eyes lighting up), Good because I have lots of ideas.
Usagi: I can't believe they had a gown that small, I bet it could fit Suzuki-san. we should test it.
Misaki: No, this, along with our suits stay in the closet until Saturday, then you can give it to Suzuki-san. (He took the suits and the gown from Usagi hanging them in the closet, then took Usagi's hand grinning at him). Okay, so let's look at the binder, you've been grinning about it all day.
Usagi: I'm so excited. (He smirked leading Misaki to the office, once there he placed the smaller man on his lap then opened the binder.) Okay so for us I'm thinking purple and blue wedding suits, purple for me.
Misaki: Of course, it'll bring out your eyes.
Usagi: Something like this. (He pointed to a picture).
Misaki: That's amazing.
Usagi: And for you, this one.
Misaki: I love it.
Usagi: And everyone else can wear black or red.
Misaki: Okay, any ideas on cake?
Usagi: Lemon, but I want it on theme, maybe this one?
Misaki: Maybe.
Usagi: You don't like it?
Misaki: It looks good, but I know we won't have a lot of people, we might need something smaller.
Usagi: Right.
Misaki: Don't say it like that (Kiss cheek), We have time.
Usagi: I know, I just wanted you to like it
Misaki: I do, and honey, we don't have to agree on everything okay?
Usagi: It would just be easer if we did.
Misaki: I know.
Usagi: We agreed on everything for our house easily.
Misaki: But not everything, there was some stuff you thought wouldn't work, and that's fine.
Usagi: I loved must of the stuff, some things I thought didn't work, so we changed them.
Misaki: Right, and it'll be like this planning our wedding.
Usagi: Okay, right. So the ceremony, you want it outdoors?
Misaki: Right.
Usagi: It might be cold though so should the reception be indoors?
Misaki: Maybe, we can look into that the closer we get.
Usagi: Okay.
Misaki: OH, the theme is amazing!
Usagi: Really?
Misaki: Yeah, I mean we won't need that many seats, but I get the idea.
Usagi: Purple winter wonderland.
Misaki: I Love it. (He turns to face Usagi embracing him), I LOVE YOU, so much!
Usagi: I love you too. (Picks up documents), Now these need to go in.
Misaki: We're getting closer.
Usagi: I know.
Misaki: I can't believe it, we've come so far huh?
Usagi: Yeah. Sure have. (He hugged Misaki tighter taking in his smell, he loved ever single thing about him, he always wanted a person, and now he had one).
