Where is Akia Eggleston?
The 3rd of May, 2017 was the last day when Akia Eggleston - a resident of the Cherry Hill area (Baltimore) - had contact with anyone. After that, she disappeared without a trace. She was 8 months pregnant at that time.
Akia is described as a very compassionate and active person. She’s a mother of a 2-year old girl, whom she had during her previous relationship - they would always sing, dance and play together. At the time of her disappearance, Akia was also pregnant with a baby boy. The pregnancy was known to be high-risk since the baby was breech - the soon-to-be-second-time mother was supposed to be on bed rest, however she was in good spirit and remained active. A month before Akia's due date - on the 7th of May - was the long-awaited baby shower. Relatives and friends of the pregnant woman gathered up and waited for her. She never showed up. Her family started to worry about her and quickly decided to file a missing-person report.
During the investigation it was found out that Akia’s apartment was cleared out - all of her personal items, except her bed and a few dressers, were moved out. A roommate of the missing woman stated that it wasn’t too surprising at first since Akia was planning to move in with the baby’s father. It was also discovered that on the day Akia went missing, a friend drove her around to a number of bank locations - she collected a lot of money which, as stated by the investigator, was also supposed to help with getting a new house.
There are a lot of theories concerning the sudden disappearance of Akia. As often in such cases, at first it was believed that she may have started a new life under a different name. Her family strongly disagrees with this theory though - they say she would never abandon her 2-year-old daughter. Not to even mention she was pregnant and since the baby was breech, she had to have a c-section. The hospitals were alerted about Akia’s disappearance, however there still wasn’t any sign of her even after her due date has passed. Investigators suspect foul play was involved in this case.
Akia Eggleston is standing about 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She also has a tattoo of cherries on her left shoulder blade. At this time, she would no longer be pregnant
