Haven’t drawn them in a hot minute. Why are simple things so tricky to draw sometimes? Argh.

Wedding headcanons (pt 1)

Because I’m a sap for my ship and have no time to actually write all this into proper fic despite having all these ideas lmao.

(LET’S ASSUME THAT EVERYONE IS ALIVE except Masahiro because we don’t want Aki to be TOO happy  MKAY? HUSH AND BISCUIT CAN HANG OUT AND IT’S TOTALLY COOL.)

- Naze and Azee helped him pick out the ring, but he wanted to pay for it himself. It’s silver with a pink sapphire and a couple small accent stones. 

- Shino and Eugene were also in on his plan and actually kept their traps shut long enough to keep the surprise. They helped him figure out the right words to say.

-  Aki invited her to the bar on Saisei and insisted that she comes with him alone. He went from being awkwardly quiet the entire night to awkwardly stammering abut his feelings and muttering something about wanting to “live honestly together.” All the planning that he had done with Shino and Eugene went right out the airlock. At this point, Lafter had totally caught on, but she played along until he finally spat it out. Bless this poor huge child bending on one knee.

-Lafter tackled him and smothered him with kisses, of course, before saying yes. 

- The bartender brought them drinks on the house. 

- And of COURSE, the first thing Lafter did was take pics and send them to everyone. But she thought nothing of it, and the couple enjoyed the rest of their night.

- The second they walk onboard the ship, they get mobbed by the Altland clan closely followed by Dante and Chad with champagne. The couple get dragged to the kitchen where Atra had somehow managed to whip up a cake for everyone. Everyone is crammed in there for the surprise engagement party, and they even video call Kudelia, who is off doing business with Fumitan. A frazzled Akihiro puts the blame on Shino, but nope! It was a team effort led by Atra and the Altland kiddos because they love their brother. 

- Hugs. So many hugs. Lafter hugs all her soon-to-be little brothers in law. Amida hugs Akihiro and he nearly combusts (heh, busts). 

- Akihiro tries to duck away from Naze, but they share an awkward “I boned your wife” glance. Naze is actually flustered for once, unsure of whether he’s a father or an ex-husband.  Amida reminds him lovingly that it’s his damn fault that he’s in such an awkward situation in the first place. He drinks to that.

- Shino makes a very half-hearted attempt to flirt with other Turbines girls, but he ends up getting kinda cuddly with Yamagi toward the end of the party. Eco notices. She is proud.

- Eugene tries to offer Akihiro life advice. Biscuit actually offers him decent life advice. Eugene is still a total bro and we love him.

- Hush and his dudes are there for the cake mostly. 

- Merribit and Yukinojo pop their heads in to offer their congrats as well. 

- Orga and Mika offer words of encouragement to their dear brother. Mika is actually very kind and straightforward. Orga turns it into some kind of toast and raises his glass to uniting the families again and bonds of blood and brotherhood and stuff like that. Everyone cheers. It’s hype. 

- Aki just wants to sleep at this point, but he’s actually super happy and trying not to cry and just kinda watching everything with an exhausted smile. Lafter is having a blast showing off her ring and being the other center of attention, but after a while, she wants to get away too.

- Please let these poor lovebirds sleep. Please.

I honestly do not give a fat frog fart whether Mikazuki winds up with Atra or Kuudelia or Orga or all/none of the above—All I want is ShinoYama and AkiLaf happy endings.
